105 days to go...still need hairdresser, etc. (NE CT)

We are getting married in Willimantic, CT.  I have a small bridal party (just a MoH and BM) and I'm antsy about finding a hairdresser (and a style!).  I don't spend a lot of time on my day to day hair, other daily washing and a trim every often.  My hair and I kind of have a love/hate relationship.  We are getting married on a Friday, so we can go someplace or have someone come to us, but how do we find out who to hire?  Suggestions pls.

I ordered my wedding dress direct from China on eBay and it is beautiful!  It fit perfectly, but I figured in extra to have the length customized by my seamstress, and then had her add a french bustle.  It still ended up being a bargain.  I also ordered the bridesmaids' dresses the same way (different seller) and love those too.  The rings are ready, florist all set, the hall and caterer set, string quartet and DJ booked.  I ordered the invitations and they came and look nice.  Do most people hire a calligrapher or use mailing labels?  I have tried to do as much as I can on a budget because that is what we have to work with.Laughing

I guess the details will work themselves out, but I keep worrying I will forget something crucial.   The hall we have rented has a beautiful brick fireplace and I have ordered a flower arrangement to dress it up, but I am wondering if I dress it up a little more...ideas?

We were set on getting married indoors, but if the weather is nice, we are thinking outdoors.  Either way, because of the space limitations, it seems like people will be standing for the ceremony.  Has anyone else had luck with this?

  • Have you thought about favors and centerpieces at all??

Larissa Lake is usually well recommended on these boards. I've also heard good things from rock the aisle and beauty bar.

Could you put lanterns or candles on the fireplace? where are you getting married?
  • I believe that Naom's Salon in West Hartford has 2 stylists that live in Willimantic. I think it's Angela and Tonya, so that might work for you. This is the link

I know that they book 2 years out, but it's worth a shot.
    Good luck
