Thankful Thursday

I walked into our downstairs bathroom this morning and found the rug completely soaked and water all over the floor. I immediately called my H who works in the water/fire/mold/etc. restoration business. He told me exactly what to do and what to look for. The mess is taken car of, and I'm really thankful my husband knew exactly what to do.

I am thankful for my family and parents. I am going through some rough times with some old friends and I don't know where I would be without them.

I am also thankful for the fact that 4 months from today is my wedding!!

I am thankful and blessed that I was able to walk away untouched from a car hitting me on the highway on Tuesday. My car moved in several directions and by His loving grace, my car ended up going straight and did not hit anything including the guardrail or the wall. I have minor damage on my car and my door makes noise when it opens, but I am ever so thankful that He covered and protected me!

I am thankful that even though there is tension and uncertainty surrounding H's job right now, I have a job that I love and a boss who is great to work for.

Today I am thankful for awesome coworkers, students, and bosses. I completely overslept this morning and woke up when school was starting. My coworker let my boss know while I hurriedly got dressed, another coworker came in and sat with my students, and 4 of my advanced students (who are my TAs that period) ran class with my 6th graders until I got there. No one has said a word to me about it except that they're glad everything is ok and that I got to work safely. There has been no blame game and I know there won't be. What could have been a total disaster with different bosses, coworkers and students was a total non-issue.

I'm thankful for my friends today!

We skipped class and had a blast just hanging out and talking-- just what I needed today!

I am thankful that my husband was able to come rescue me today after I almost passed out after having blood drawn. I ended up puking, but he came to get me from the hospital and took me home and put me to bed. He's usually tied up at school, so I'm so glad he was available.

I am thankful that my mom's doctor is 70% sure her tumor is benign. 70% is pretty good, so that is something to be thankful for,
