Spray tan?

I am in a wedding this time around and I need to give my pasty complexion a little glow. I don't want to look like I just got back from a Caribbean vacation but I don't want to look like a ghost either. Anyone have any recommendations for spray tans in the downtown(ish) area? Also any tips would be great. I'm kind of nervous about the whole thing. Will I be orange? I'm looking for something natural looking. Thanks girls.

Re: Spray tan?

  • I currently work at Palm Beach Tan and I love our spray tans.  Those have 3 different levels of shades that you want plus it works with the kind of color that you would normally get from either the sun or the from a tanning bed.  so if you get good color from that then you'll get good color from the spray tan.  i would suggest do a medium color before hand and if you think it's too dark then get the lower level.  i don' think they make you look orange.  i've always gotten dark when i do it. plus its super easy.  good luck!
  • I would recommend having someone personally spray you - not one of the machines.  I go to a wonderful (INEXPENSIVE!) salon in Norwood - about ten minutes from downtown.  It's the darkest on the day after I get it and when I go to work that day no one says "oh my gosh!" or any other shocked expressions - and I am naturally very pale.

The salon I use is: http://www.paxtynaverysalon.net/

I also used to go to Sunwize tanning up in Mason - she's really good too but you come out pretty dark and it's more expensive.

    Good luck!
  • LindseyM: how expensive are the spray tans at Palm Beach?

I also suggest having someone personally spray you, then a machine!
