Dear Twi-hards, Stop being BSC

I know the dress was posted, but I just came across this article about how Twilight fans are making up engagements so they can go and try on "Bella's Dress" at bridal salons. 

That is BAT SHIIT CRAZY!

    I came across the same article when I was looking for movie weddings for Lunar's thread. *sigh* But really, what did they think was going to happen?

    Well that dress seems to be geared towards young brides (Look at the model! She looks like she is 15!), and many twilight fans are teens. So, it makes sense to me. I can see a group of high schoolers going over to the bridal salon to try it on just for fun.

    And, that dress is hideous.

    Does anyone else see some crazy teens buying this for prom? That's how I can totally picture them wearing it.

    </div><div>This is a good point. I think anyone who is up to speed on the giant monster this thing is (fan/media wise) should have probably seen this coming. I'd be annoyed too, though if I were just a consultant, minding my business and every day after the H.S. got out a new group of girls came in and tried on dresses I knew they weren't going to buy. There should be some sort of engagement validation for bridal salons (I'm kidding...sort of)! </div>

    I was just about to post the Twilight Moms pic...Hulu beat me to it! 

    And I think that anyone who is crazy enough to make up an engagement (for any reason, but especially a hideous dress) is BSC for real!!

    I thought Edward Cullen was Elvis Presley the first time I saw that Twilight tattoo making its rounds on the internet. I saw it in a thumbnail version and it took a second to click that it was a Twilight theme. The pompadour hair style on Edward threw me off.

    I do think the dress is ugly, too. It's way too plain in the front and too fancy on the back. It seems unbalanced.

    I think the backside of the dress is beautiful; however, the front is too plain Jane. I still can't believe the price is $799. I really do feel bad for the workers that have to deal with that........it's like Black Friday but without the crazy purchases.

    I was shopping for a gown with my friend who is getting married next year, and the store had the twi-gown out on display. Honestly it is not that nice in the movie and even less so in person - the quality of the fabric is super crappy, and the lace on the back is poorly done. I wasn't impressed, even if it was billed as 'affordable' at 700$ or so.
