more RSVP venting!!!

The due date is tomorrow still waiting on 15 RSVP cards..Thats 30 people! I sent these invites out First week of August. Are we chasing people down? Or who doesn't send back just doesn't get food if they show up? Or just contact the ones I thought were coming?...So annoying!!

Track them all down - you won't want to deal with the stress of extra people showing up at your wedding. And, if you think it's too much for you to handle, break them up into groups, and ask your FI or parents for help contacting them. I know it's tedious, but you'll be glad you did it.

I'm doing the same thing right now, and it's kind of awkward, but I'm glad I'm getting answers.

My deadline is tomorrow too, and I've already started hunting down the stragglers! Especially the members of my own wedding party who haven't sent their cards yet. What is up with that?

I would just remind people to send the RSVP in. Instead of just asking.

It's super frustrating. Our deadline was last Thursday and I had to have names to our calligrapher Tuesday. My count went to my vendor at our meeting last night. We still had 2 OOT couples who did not respond. I called and followed up with FB messages, but didn't hear back. I had to assume they wern't coming. I recognize it is unlikely they will come, particulary after I left messages letting them know that I was turning in final numbers to our venue without them, but I'm still a bit nervous about it. If you can get in touch with everyone I'd recommend it, just for peace of mind.

My deadline is sept 15th and I still have over 40 out! I sure hope they start piling in over the next few days, right now we are only getting 1-2 a day.

If it makes you feel any better, my deadline is the 13th and I still have 67 outstanding. And that is rsvp cards not people!

MY deadline is tomorrow! Granted, the mail hasn't come yet today, but I still have 47 cards I am waiting on!

My deadline was August 24th (with a "real" unsaid deadline of the 31st, but I wanted to leave a cushion), and I'm still sort of down one, ha. People are so funny. What I don't get is people who I KNOW have planned their own wedding and been through this. They should get it!

Our date was the 1st and we're still missing at least 30 cards. I'll start following up this weekend. I wish I only had 15! Lol

Yea, my due date is also tomorrow and I have more RSVP's outstanding than you do. I will start making phone calls next week. You need to know and the only way you'll find out is by calling.
