this weekend, I went and bought some really cheap0 black ballet flats, wore 'em the last 2 days.
But today I'm wearing brown, so since my brown shoes are less pokey than my black ones, I went to put them on...
I *could* with a great deal of effort, cram my feet into them...but they hurt.
Apparently the fact that my feet don't look swollen from the top (and they don't) does NOT mean they're not swollen vertically. When I contortioned myself to see the profile of my feet, they're a lot...uh, 'taller'? than normal.
So today I am dressed very badly...brown tennis shoes, khakis, and a blue shirt that is *not* as cute as the rest of my pregnancy wardrobe. + dark circles (need sleep. haven't had) and a strong desire to throw up (I feel like schit, have all week. NO good answers. But I *look* like I feel sick--peaked and tired and all that)
I better improve before the re-dedication ceremony for the gardeny crap tomorrow because otherwise I will find a rust metal compass and stab Mr H. if he tries to take my picture.
Re: I was late for work today because I had to find shoes...
(no, I don't work w/ chemicals...or scalpels. But I am an absolute Hard-ass about everyone else's safety gear so I kinda have to make sure I follow protocol). But I can always find something that works and just keep the sneakers around and change when I have to.
I was looking and failed to find sandals this weekend--I am INCREDIBLY picky on them--I cannot wear something that goes between my toes (I can't--it hurts) and it MUST have a strap across the heel because my feet get charlie-horses if the front is what holds things on. I found nothing that worked for that.
I could steal the birks that the Mr stole from me back from him...they fit the bill IF they still fit.
