Military Brides

There goes that darned military again...

Well, FI just got his orders in.  Looks like it's time to move the wedding date to indefinite for a little while.

At least we didn't sign any vendor contracts or put down deposits yet because we saw this coming.  Just lovely.

Sorry, hun!  I'm sure you're disappointed, and that stinks.  You seem to have a pretty good attitude about it, so just hang in there.  Roll with the punches, and do be grateful that at least you're not losing money.

You were smart on seeing it comming and not be out anything vendor wise at least. Once he gets settled to his new post start planning again? Sory about that, it stinks but we all know this is part of being madly in love with a military person, and lets face it they are so lucky we do love them, right?  :)

Sorry that happened to you. It sucks, the same thing happened to us, but luckily you didn't lose any money or have anything signed.

You'll still be married, just with a different date now. ;)

I'm impressed with your optimism. Some girls on here would blame the military for "ruining" thier wedding. Good for you!!!

Aw I'm sorry, that happening is never good news!  But like PP's said, you are still getting married just a new date!  Everything will work out!

    Thanks ladies!

FI and I knew this was a possibility before we even started dating since he had just signed up and we decided to discuss how the military would affect us before we really got to know each other on a deeper level.  I guess we prepared ourselves.  It's just kind of sad when I just got him back from Iraq and now he's going to Afghanistan.

Plus my dad is a contractor over in the war zones so he only gets to come home so many days a year himself, and coordinating all the schedules is a bit difficult lol.
