My dress does not fit!!

Okay ladies I am so mad at myself. My dress alterations appt is Dec 30th and I  tried ony my dress and it will not zip! No where close to zipping actually!! :( What Now? Have any of you had this happen to you?

    I am really considering doing that but I'm not to fond of the bow it leaves at bottom. I am so stressed!!!

    Tuck the bow.  You don't have to leave it hanging out. I hate that hanging string/bow too.  here is a picture of the back of my dress with the corset back, string tucked in.

    Mine was a corset back originally, but I've seen them added, and it looks exactly the same. As though it was always there.

    I agree- a corset back with a privacy panel will definitely give you a few extra inches.

    Mine didn't fit from the start and with the corset-modesty panel combo, it went from 16 to probably an 18 or even 20. Definitely try it!

    Did you try on the dress when it came in initially?  Perhaps the shop ordered you the wrong size?  If so, I'd talk to them.  If it's simply weight gain, I agree w/ PPs.....have a corset back put it.....it is very forgiving.

    corset is the way to go!! that way you can look tiny in some places but it can be loose where it needs to be. and all corsets come with a slit under it so the bow/strings can be tucked

    Corset back is the way to go i also got a shaper that just goes around my middle it took 3 to 5 inches off and made everything lay flat. it really helped and was not hot. i got mine at kohls the come in sizes from small the 2 or 3 x. my dress was a size 16 and i wore a 1 x.

    Thanks ladies! I am def going to have a corset back added to my dress. It is a size 16 & barely fit when I ordered it but my plan was to lose weight but never did! I think I am gonna do with the thicker ribbons tho for the corset, I like that look better especially if the bow can be tucked in.

    IMy dress was originally a zipper and the bridal shop changed it over to a corset w/privacy panel and I got the same look as PP did. It looked beautiful and you couldn't even tell that it wasn't part of the original design. I'll be honest, wasn't cheap to have it changed over, but it was way way cheaper then getting a whole new dress.
