Signature Drinks?

We are having an open bar but I thought it would be cool to create signature drinks that the bride and groom recommend with a little sign. Any ideas??

Re: Signature Drinks?

  • were doing  either rum punch or  hurricane for our signature drink
  • What do you and your FI like to drink?  Is there a color scheme you want to incorporate?  What about the season or location of your wedding?
  • We are getting married May 17, 2014. Our colors are pink, silver and grey.

We mostly like beer and some fruity mixed drinks, nothing that really stands out to us.

  • Maybe a cosmo of some type?
  • That is such a cool idea. We will be having wineand draft beer(cheaper). And I will be catering whatever my wedding party drinks.
THANK YOU, MRS. HEBERT ( TO BE )

<div>I know that you didn't post asking questions about this, but I have to ask....do you mean you're having beer and wine for the entire guest list and you're also providing additional "drinks of choice" for the WP?  Or are you only providing beer and wine to the WP? </div><div>
</div><div>In either case, it's really not okay to single out any guests (including the WP) for better treatment at the reception.  You wouldn't serve the WP a filet mignon while serving the rest of your guests chicken fingers, ya know?    If you're doing beer and wine only, that's TOTALLY fine and more than generous; your WP members can live without their cocktail of choice for one night.   In fact, a completely dry wedding is completely fine too as long as it's dry for everyone including the WP. </div><div>
    </div><div>Good luck!</div>
  • We're having a mai tai (a family recipe) for our signature drink.

The first time FI met my parents, my dad greeted him at the door with this mai tai and then he quickly had a second (because they're delicious duh!) without realizing how strong they are.  He said he stood up to make his way to the dinner table and could barely walk and was so embarrassed because he didn't want to be drunk the first time he met my parents.  He maintained very well though- I had no idea he was drunk!

Anyway, we love the recipe and we thought it was a cute story, so that's why we picked it for our signature drink.

  • We are doing margartias and wiskey sours
  • My friend that got married this summer had a refreshing gin punch as her signiature cocktail.  It was really delicious and it was - Gin, Lime, St. Germain, simple syrup and basil topped with seltzer (or you can do a dry champagne).  It was pretty amazing.
