August 2012 Weddings

4 years together :)

so in an earlier post I mentioned that I didnt know WHAT to get fiance for our anniversary. We don't really do big gifts, and he is going back to school so we've been saving money to pay his tuition.
Anyway-- last night i found some sassapirilla hard candies and root beer ones, he loves root beer and sasspirilla. Plus i told him that i can help him pay on his tuition.

So I got him those, and i picked up a carrot cake for us to have as dessert. and made home made cinnamon buns for breakfast for him to have for this weekend (he has Navy drill)

He came home with a card and a battery for my scooter (he bought me an old Honda Spree scooter that he fixed up for me and the last thing was the battery so its all ready to use)

He was liek ":sorry i didint have anything else" so then we went out to dinner, he insisted, and i was just going to make dinner but he insisted.
When we got there (it wasnt anuything fancy just this tavern we sometimes go to) his friend that plays the guitar there was playing and halfway through our dinner he said "TJ just wanted to say happy anniversary to his lovely fiance,  these crazy kids so in love are getting married this year" and then he played our wedding song!! He didint know the song he said so he learned it for us this week. My fiance set the hwole thing up
it was SO cute!

Re: 4 years together :)

  • So sweet!!! Reminds me of my best friends proposal that I just got to witness a few months ago. It was there 8 year anniversary and he brought her out to dinner at a night restaurant and told us he would come over to the bar later for drinks (she had no idea me & FI and a few other friends would be there). She was so excited and suprised just that he had planned that. There was a band (that her FI knew and set-up) playing that night. Her FI went up and played accoustic guitar to "their song" while the singer of the band sang it, and then he proposed right afterwards.... it was adorable. The best part was that she had no idea he could play guitar so was so confused while I was playing the song. Turns out all the "late nights" he had been having at work for the previous 6 months were actually guitar lessons from a friend at work. It was SO sweet. So I can kinda imagine how nice this was for you :)
