Rehearsal dinner restaurant in South Orange County, CA

Does anyone have any non-chain ideas for a good rehearsal dinner venue?  We're probably talking about 30 - 35 people. We'd like to have somewhere nice, medium pricey, and possibly near the beach. The wedding is at Strawberry Farms, but for the dinner we'd be fine going within a 15 - 20 mile radius. Thanks much!

    I can think of a few places.. do you have a specific type of food in mind?
    My first thought is Cucina Alessa in Newport Beach on PCH. AMAZING, authentic Italian and reasonable prices.

    For a larger party, The Chart House, or Villa Nova would be good and those are right on the water.

    Las Brisas in Laguna Beach is nice and has an ocean view...I would have considered it for mine but FMIL thought it was too far from the wedding rehearsal site.

    Thanks for the ideas. These are certainly promising. I've also been doing some checking around and have come up with a few more. Here are the newest ideas: El Cholo - Irvine Lucca Cafe - Irvine Il Fornaio - Newport Beach K'ya - Laguna Beach Andre's - Irvine Salt Creek Grille - Dana Point

    YA LUCCA!!!!
    Reasonably priced and can accomodate close to 200 people, depending on if youd like to rent out the patio or the entire restaurant. Private message me if you, or any of you, would like more info on catering packages from Lucca. I am so happy I read this post and saw that someone recommended Lucca, I just took over the catering crew there, so I will be happy to share any info with my fellow knotties.
