Lighting & Drapes

I've been looking around for event decorators in the Lansing area who can do amazing lighting & drape work. I really love things like:


I can't seem to find anyone online and I'm planning this wedding from out of town so I'm relying on websites and photos to find people to contact. I just looked at the Event Depot site that says they do lighting, but nothing I find so far seems as dramatic as I think I'd like. 

Do any of you have advice or recommendations in this area? How about your own wedding lighting?  Thanks!

    You could try www.wedmi.com. If they can't do what you want, they will be honest and let you know and may be able to refer you to someone who can.  good luck.

    thank you so much for the suggestion! I am going to seriously consider W.E.D it sounds like they have a lot of options.

    Just gonna throw another question out there: Has anyone used their DJ service?

    I would recommend checking with Weddings by Nicole to see what she can do.

    I would still contact Event Depot as well. After meeting with them, I felt they could do some really cool stuff, they were just out of my budget. They work a lot with Corinne from Sebesta Design, and they helped with the Donny and Thao wedding: http://adorkableduo.com/?go=cocktailroom.     Finally, I agree Lynn from WED will give some great recommendations. I didn't end up using her either, but I've used plenty of her advice!

    We haven't used W.E.D. for DJ services yet, but Matt gets very good reviews on here and other sites.
