custom made gowns

Is there anyone around locally who can make a wedding dress?  I know just what I want, but I have not seen it anywhere on the bridal gown websites.  I am hoping there is someone locally that can custom make a gown.  Suggestions?

Candlelight Bridal in Sheffield, Ohio. I know they use to do custom dresses. They have a seamstress there that I went in with an idea and it explained it. She told me to go buy the fabric I wanted, and bring it to her. I did, and 2 weeks later she had a dress pinned together. She never even measured me! She just eyeballed it. Amazing staff to work with! But, that being said, that was 12 years ago :)

Denise at Julianne's Bridal Outlet in Olmsted Falls not only does alterations, but she also makes dresses. I only have experience with her alterations, but I considered having a gown made until I found something I really liked that (surprisingly) only needed minimal work and was PERFECT. Anyway, she's worth a consultation, IMO.

A friend of mine (Cleveland area) had a gown made by a seamstress in Canada and it worked out fine. I can probably get contact info if you are interested in going that route.

I'm working with a woman named Carylin Stickney at Sew Many Memories.  She's redesigning my mom's wedding dress for me and so far she's been fabulous to work with.  http://www.sewmanymemories.net/

I met a woman at the Today's Bridal Show recently.  She was from Fryodor Bridal Atelier. Their work looks beautiful and dresses start at $900.

They are in La Place in Beachwood (near beachwood mall)
