in May 2012 Weddings
sell stuff through the classified on here and get paid. I know how to sell stuff on here but how do you have people pay you? Through PayPal or by having them send a check? I've got some stuff listed to sell after 5/26 and some people interested but I don't know what to do to have them pay. If you ladies know that would be great!

    i only use paypal, all abotu buyer/seller protection. a check gives you none of that.

    I would suggest using paypal...so you and the buyer have a sense of security... you know for sure, the check won't bounce or get lost in the mail... and the buyer can get a refund if need be, etc...

    Do I just go to PayPal.com and sign up from there? Then how do I let the buyer know that I am on PayPal? I know these probably seem like dumb questions but I've never sold anything like this and I don't want to screw anything up! Thanks ladies!!

    This post just gave me a surge of anxiety!  I bought a handbag from David's Bridal a month or so ago and soon after my grandmother gave me a GORGEOUS hand-beaded coinpurse from her own wedding.  I called and asked David's Bridal if I can return without a receipt (otherwise I'd have to search all over the place for it) and they said that ALL SALES ARE FINAL.  So I can't even return it.  It still has the tag on it, never even taken out of the plastic bag when I left the store.  I'm totally kicking myself for the purchase!

    Yes, you would need to sign up with paypal first. You'll need an email account and bank account to do so. Once you're good to go, you just provide the buyer with that email address (the one you signed up with paypal). The buyer then sends you the money via paypal to that email address. You then get an email confirmation from paypal that you received the money and can ship out the item. Once you have the money in paypal, you can either use that to buy other stuff online (everything nowadays accept paypal as a payment method), or transfer the money into your bank account.
