WR: Jewlery help

I'm not really great with putting styles together myself.  Could you guys please give some suggestions for what kind of a necklace to wear with my dress?  PIB.  Anyone else wear a v neck?

A lot of folks on here do no necklace with statement earrings.

I had a dress similar to yours and did the opposite--a choker necklace and stud earrings. You can look in my bio. The necklace was 3-strands of pearls (off etsy) with a really cool vintage rhinestone clasp.

A dress like that is really flexible though, you can do just about anything you want with it.
  • I would do like like PP said, chandelier or other statement drop earrings, and a bracelet.  I wouldn't do a necklace with that dress.  The neckline is stunning and I feel like a necklace would clutter it up and take away from it.   I'm a big big fan of clean lines.

  • While I LOVE the dramatic earring look, one of my ears is ripped a bit and I get too worried about that ear ripping again.  I know that ears don't tear because of heavy earrings but I'm a neuortic freak.

  • I did the no necklace statement earrings.  And I loved how it looked with my hair up!
  • I actually ordered a couple of (returnable) accessories and tried them all on with the dress before I made a decision. I tried big earrings and no necklace, the opposite, etc. Honestly, the only way I could figure out what I wanted to do was to physically see the stuff on me with the dress.

You could try clip-on earrings. They're not the most comfortable thing ever, but for a day they wouldn't be too bad.

If you are wearing small earrings, I think a simple pearl drop necklace would be pretty.

  • Oh, ditto ac!

I bought like 3 or 4 pairs of earrings from Macy's and tried them on with my veil and dress on and that's how I picked.  It made life so much easier.

Yeah, the lace and stuff on your neckline is really delicate and has nice scalloped details. I think delicate (rather than chunky) jewelry would be better.
  • ah ok, thanks for the tips and suggestions!  I didn't think about clip on earrings, which is odd because my mom wears them (she was born with a full tear in her ear).  I also like that necklace, thanks!
