Red Rock Canyon & The Bellagio

We got married on April 12th at Red Rock Canyon. I just wanted to come back here and say it was wonderful, and I highly recommend the location to anyone thinking of an outdoor wedding. It was unseasonably cold, only 49 degrees and windy at 5:00 PM, and storms had threatened all day according to the forecast but it was SO beautiful out there we did not even care how cold we were!

Also, we stayed at the Bellagio and two things really stood out:

1. The view from the "Lakeview" (the giant fountain in front) Penthouse Suite, particularly at night-wow!!!

2. The food at the Prime Steakhouse where we had our reception dinner. Amazingly good also with beautiful views. Order anything, you will love it!

Last but not least, the in-room dining buffet we hosted the night of our arrival was well served and very tasty, all the food was excellent.

The Bellagio was not entirely without fault. They gave us a smoking suite when we had very specifically requested non smoking, and they made having guests up there not the easiest thing in the world. I had to give them first and last names for all my guests at my buffet and then they gave my mom a runaround about coming up!

Overall though I would recommend the Bellagio, and even if you are not having your wedding there, make some time to see Red Rock Canyon while you are in Vegas! I saw it years ago but wow-beautiful!

</div><div>Really?? Wow! I thought there would be other Red Rock brides here for sure. I was not going to post photos, but I will do that this weekend in my profile. I really want others to see how wonderful the location is. I might add that <a href="http://www.lasvegasweddings.com" rel="nofollow">www.lasvegasweddings.com</a> arranged the whole thing and did a fine job of it, with two limos, a photographer for 100 poses and video as well, and all kinds of flowers for under 2K.

Congrats! I'd like to see a ceremony at Red Rock, it must've been amazing. I know that Bellagio has the security checking for keys, was it a pain to get your guests in and out?

    <div>Thanks!</div><div>
</div><div>A serious pain to get guests in! I left all those (silly) first and LAST names as they asked, and they still gave my mom a hassle about coming up rather then do something sensible like just call our room. </div>

I did put some photos on my profile from the wedding. I chose the ones I thought showed off the beauty of Red Rock best.

Lenore- this is good to know.  We're doing a buffet in our suite as well, and I was a little worried about everyone getting up there.  We've got a small group, so I figured we could all go together.

Which buffet did you get?  We're doing the Bellagio Buffet.

We had the pasta bar, garlic bread, a seafood and a fruit tray and assorted chocolates. We provided our own alcohol. All of it was to die for. We also got 2 dozen perfect white roses brought up.

I would say yes, if you can bring your whole group up at once do it, if not make sure a manager and not just the VIP suite lounge girl sees your first and last names guest list and knows to call you if there are any questions!
  • Hello!

I am thinking about doing a similar wedding in Vegas as yours. How many people did you have there? What was your budget and lastly what company took you to Red Rock Canyon. Did you use a travel agent to book the hotel?

  • I was curious who you booked your wedding at Red Rock Canyon thru??  We are looking into it as well and could use a reference!   Thanks so much for your time!
