Dinner: price per person

I am struggling to convice my fiance that the dinner budget might need to be expanded. What is a realisitc price per person for a dinner in Vegas? The price will definitely affect our final guest list. We have 2 lists going right now, one with about 30 people and another with about 50 people. I would love to be able to invite all 50 people, but I'm not sure if the FI will go for it once the potential price for dinner sinks in.

I do not want to do a buffet. And I do not want to do just an app/cocktail type party.. since my guests are coming all the way to Vegas I want to at least give them dinner!

What has your average per person price been? And does that price include alcohol??

    our reception is at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak, Stone Crab.

    Food: $59.95/per person
    3 hours of Open Bar: $55/per person

    so, about $115 per person - plus we'll be doing a consumption bar for cocktail hour.

    I know there are alot more affordable options out there though - including Maggiano's which is very popular on this board and has great reviews.

    ETA: don't worry, Vegas has something for every price point

    We're spending about $98/person. The price includes hor d'ourves, sit-down meal (veggie, chicken or salmon), 4 hour open bar, desert. Meal w/o bar is $60/person

    There are defiantly options out there that are less. What kind of budget were you looking for?

    im not really sure?? i knew it would be more than $50 a person and crossed my fingers for less than $100 a person.. and then of course the closer to $50 a person the better. my fiance thinks these numbers are nuts.. so that is where the problem is. the more i look the more i realize that the smaller guest list is probably more practical..

    Famous Dave's BBQ is $17 pp, and if you have your reception in-suite, you can buy your own alcohol and hire a bartender for around $30/hour.

    I believe Firefly and Yolos have a dinner starting at 25-30/person, but that does not include alcohol.

    You would probably be looking at another 30/person for open bar/per hour. But alot of places..the more hours you do the less it gets per hour so 35/person for the 1st hour, 30/person for the 2nd hour, 25/person for the 3rd hour.

    Costs are PP
    Premium open bar for 5 hours:  $46
    Passed hors d' oeuvres:  $11.50
    Dinner (salad/soup/main-steak or sea bass/dessert):  $50.95
    Tax:  8.1%
    Service: 18%

    Cake is going to be another few hundred dollars.

    Cost pp for 75 with dinner and drinks is $53.

    Our cake is going to cost $150-$200.

    As Smokey mentioned don't forget the tax and service charges a lot of people start planning and forget that and are suddenly over budget!

    Little Buddha was $45/head for 3 courses plus $52/head for 3 hours of open bar.

    Plus 20% service fee plus sales tax. They waived the $5/head cake cutting fee for us, and didnt charge any extra to hold our favours, cake and set up the tables.

    Still waiting for final menu pricing.  Going $40-$50 pp for food (buffet), and DIYing the drinks.  We don't have a lot of drinkers, and we make our own beer.

    33 pp for meal (brunch at Mon Ami gabi)

    Drinks-based on consumption

    Cake- $230

    No cake cutting fee since we offered a dessert course from their menu.

    When we first started booking venues, we had Firefly booked at 30 pp for dinner and 25 pp for open bar so 55 pp for food and alcohol for 2 hours.

    Our in-suite reception from Masterpiece Cuisine was $30/person for heavy apps, beer, wine, and soda.  We got cookie cakes from Nestle instead of a regular wedding cake, that came to about $2/person including materials to build the stand for it.
    This is a neglected planning bio.
    This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married.     Maggiano's starts at $41 pp for a 4 course meal, and they have very reasonable alcohol prices too.  with a 4 hour open bar AND champagne toast, our PP price is under 80

    We decided to get married at the Tropicana due to them having the best pricing for wedding & recpetion at the same venue.  Our dinner is $40 PP, $200 for no host bar for 4 hours and we are in a private banquet room.  I wanted traditional recpetion without paying alot.  3 tier cake anb champage toast is inlcuded.   I have not seen any posts on the Tropicana so I'm going in blind but I know they have almost finished a major remodel and the pics I have seen the place looks great!  Plus the wedding chapel doesnt look like a converted funeral home like most LV chapels!

    The Tropicana is charging you $200 so you can have a cash bar?  Can you do a self serve beer and wine bar for something similar?  My sister's consumption bar was only $500.  At least look into it.  Your guests may not know that they need to bring cash to your reception.  I would never expect a cash bar ESPECIALLY in Vegas.

    Every wedding I have been to in our town has a cash bar.  Its normal for me to pay for my own drinks at a wedding.  The costs for adding host bar would be over our budget
