QOTD 8/16

So FI tells me this morning that he woke up at 5am this morning in the kitchen eating a yogurt.  At first I thought that he meant that he woke up and went to the kitchen to have a yogurt.  Nope.  He was sleep walking.  Let's just say I laughed hysterically for a while and I am giggling as I write this.

So I am sure you can see what the question of the day is going to be...have you or FI done anything crazy while sleeping?

Re: QOTD 8/16

  • Fi sometimes mumbles or talks in his sleep..I guess he's talking in his dream and it just comes out loud...sometimes I'm like huh what? Because its a jumble and nothing makes sense..he'll say something like bob had it last. I'll be like... What? You don't know a bob. I'm lost!!! I don't guess I ever have done any weird stuff or he's never said anything...

  • We don't live/sleep together but he falls asleep nearly every time he is a pasenger in a car.  This one time we were in a car with his family visiting some relatives and he was sleeping with his arms crossed.  i just had my hand on his bicep and squuezed it because i like to feel his muscles...haha.  and he FLEXED!!!  i thought it was a coincidence so i did it a few more times but he kept flexing!!  it was so funny.
  • FI talks A LOT in his sleep. He mostly mumbles also, but once in a while he will just scream something. A few weeks ago, at 2 a.m., he just screamed "55!!!" Needless to say this scared the crap out of me and the next morning he had no recollection of this happening.

  • O, that's so funny.

I am notorius for doing weird things while I am half asleep. When I lived at home I would frequently fall asleep downstairs and someone would send me upstairs and have a conversation with me and I would not remember it at all in the morning, I could have a full conversation, that totally made sense and never ever remember it.

The funniest story I think... One year my family and I were in Florida. There were like ten of us in one hotel room so basically no where to sleep. I was tired way before anyone else and got into one of the beds to sleep. When everyone else decided to go to bed I got kicked out of the bed (because everyone else was older than me) and sent to the floor in the living room. Apparently when I was woken up I started saying that my sister had my blanket and was trying to take it from her. My mom convinced me to just lay down and go to sleep, but then after she left the room I got back up, stole her blanket, and went to sleep under the kitchen table! I woke up the next morning and had absolutely no clue what had happened, lol! My sister couldn't believe I didn't remember doing it but I seriously did not.
  • FI often dreams of snakes, and he'll wake up kicking and thrashing in bed. Actually, whenever he has a nightmare, he has a very physical response--kicking, thrashing, sitting up, etc.

I talk in my sleep occasionally, but otherwise I haven't heard anything out of the ordinary!
  • FI has PTSD from Iraq so nights are sometimes interesting in our house.  It only happens when he's really stressed, sometimes he has flash backs and will yell, jump out of bed, sit up... and sometimes he wants late night sexy time and will NOT remember any of it the next day.  So if something like that happens at night, the next morning I'm like "Ummm soo... do you remember this"? He's tried meds but they made him fuzzy during the day, and once they gave him blood pression medicine for it and he fell down the stairs the next morning!  He stopped taking that QUICK

  • Right as FI is falling asleep his legs move around some and shakes the bed some.  I talk in my  sleep usually FI can understand what I am saying but no idea what I am talking about.  He told me yesterday that I haven't really done it in a while.

  • PS It wouldn't let me submit with flash back as one word... am I missing something?!

  • FI is a very polite sleeper but I often talk and thrash about. FI says I talk using mostly the letter M (like mmmhmm lol.) Lately I have been reacting to any little touch in my sleep and swinging in FI or our cat's direction. Needless to say neither one is very happy lol.

  • He snores and steals blankets, but those aren't too funny, ha. One time, though, we both went to bed together after having had a lot to drink. And I woke up a little later in the night to go to the bathroom. And he's out in the living room on the couch, passed out with a bag of chips. Which normally wouldn't be weird, but again-- we had both gone to bed together! We figure he must have woken up, been hungry, and decided to have a quick snack? Or gotten up, gone to the bathroom, and forgotten he'd gone to bed? No idea.

  • Neither one of us talk or move around in our sleep, but FI works at 3 am so when he leaves he walks over to me while I'm asleep and makes a kissy noise and I pucker up! Lol. He told me if I was really out sometimes I wouldn't do it, but lately I've done it every time. Sometimes I remember kissing him goodbye but not always!
  • FI also talks in his sleep. It's always something really weird. I always tell him the next morning. He thinks it's so funny b/c he never remembers doing it or even dreaming about anything related to what he said.

  • I also talk in my sleep, FI doesn't have any weird sleeping things that I know of.
It doesn't have to be perfect to be everything I want!

  • I am a still and quiet sleeper, when I sleep. FI falls in the same boat as far as full fledged conversations with no recall the next day. That is a shame too, I love that he prefers to lay in bed and chat before we go to sleep. He can be a restless and violent sleeper, although it has improved drastically over the last year. He actually broke my toe thrashing in his sleep in January. It was awful! That actually woke him, and he did remember that one. Now if he seems to be having a restless night, one of us moves to protect my poor toes!

  • I routinely talk in my sleep. A few nights ago I woke FI up, roughly, yelling at him that he put the lid on wrong. He says I looked wide awake, and yelled for about 10 minutes before he could convince me that he'd fix it.

I have zero recollection of any of this.

  • I never realize it, but I talk in my sleep a lot. Fi has told me that we have conversations, I've screamed, but mostly I just mumble. I've also been known to hit him occassionally in my sleep.

In college, I walked in my sleep if I was reallly stressed.

FI doesn't do anything crazy but he will wake up at like 2 am and start to watch a movie.

  • FI is a pretty normal sleeper, though if I wake him in the middle of the night and he talks to me or something, a lot of the time he doesn't remember the conversation.

I have waking nightmares. Sometimes they're small, but sometimes FI says it's impossible for him to make me realize it's a dream. I basically wake up, terrified and see things happening or people or other things in the room and he tries to explain to me whatever it is isn't real. Most of the time I don't believe him and yell at him. They can get really bad.

  • FI is a heavy snorer, he uses the CPAP at night (well sometimes). Also he drools, which is gross if you try to snuggle with him (CPAP does help that too tho).
He gets freaked out with me because I will twitch when I sleep or start to fall asleep. He said the first time I did it, he thought I was having a seizure or something.
Also when most people find out FI snores, they wonder how I can sleep. It never wakes me up, unless I wake up then sometimes its a little harder to get back to sleep but for the most part I can sleep through it.

  • I don't know if you'd consider this sleep walking, but FI peed at the end of our bed while he was asleep.  This was after a night of very heavy drinking, so I am sure it was a combination of deep sleep and being completely drunk.  Luckily I woke up as he got up and stopped him right after he started.  I don't think I've ever slapped someone as hard as I slapped him!

  • So far, FI has gotten up and walked to his desk in the study, gotten paper clips, and returned to the bed and attempted to paperclip the pillow cases together; he has, at 3am, unplugged the alarm clock, wrapped the cord all around it, and hugged it; gotten up in the middle of the night to shower and then gone back to sleep; talked about bad weather and not enough umbrellas for the wedding (just this past week); and had numerous jaunts to the refrigerator in which he has poured a bowl of cereal and left it on the counter (uneaten) and gone back to sleep.

I've joked on several occasions that he would be fascinating to study for science purposes ;)
