Need Help With Three More Vendors. I hope!

Hello All,

With the wedding day drawing near I could use some assistance with three more vendors. Flowers, cake and rehearsal dinner. I have a childhood friend that does flowers and wrote me a proposal for almost $900, but I still think that's a large sum of money for flowers. I like flowers but I don't think I love them that much. I pretty much think what I'm looking for is basic nothing too fancy. I do have the options of using centerpieces offered by the venue. Cake I do have a bakery in mind but I'm still looking around for other options. My hope is to keep the cake under $300 with 3 layers. The rehearsal dinner, I haven't begun to work on that. I have been tossing around the idea of having a small family function at a clubhouse in my area. Menu options still undecided.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Look at Kroger for your flowers.  They'll be doing mine.  I've been quoted about $300 for:
    1 bridal bouquet
    3 bridesmaids bouquets
    1 flower girl bouquet
    5 corsages
    3 bouts
loose centerpiece flowers for 13 tables

    HTH!

We are having our rehearsal dinner at Dewey's in Harper's Point. If you go on their website all their prices are on there, not too bad pricewise.

For our cake, since we are having our reception at Receptions Mindy is doing it, but she does outside work too! She is awesome. Here is a link for her:

Also, we are using Susan Foy for flowers. She is awesome! She will help with any price range and is soooo nice!  Here is her site:

We used Flying Buttercream and for a 4 tier cake to serve 180 it was just under $400. We ended up with a LOT of cake leftover so we definitely could/should have gotten a smaller cake.
Her cake is $1.75 a serving and depending on how intricate the design is it will cost a little more, but her cake was so delicious.

Here's her website if you're interested:

The best way to reach her is via e-mail too.

I 2nd Flying Buttercream!! We are using Two Little Buds for our flowers.  They seem to be very reasonable for everything that we are getting!  I'll check my price breakdown and message you.

Try All About Flowers in White Oak area- I'm spending less than $450 for bridal bouquet, 3 BM's bouquets, flower girl petals, 12 bout's, 6 corsages, and 2 flower arrangements for our ceremony.

Oops--- Also, Marilyn's Cakes in Ludlow, KY is to die for. She works out of her home, so she is able to keep her costs low. $2/slice and it's delicious, you can choose multiple flavors/fillings for each layer.

I agree with Susan Foy and Flying Buttercream!
I would also say check out secret garden flowers in Florence.  I have had a few friends use them and were really happy with them
