Matching bridal and reception flowers?

FH and I want to save costs on flowers, plus our venue is in a forest area, so we were thinking about doing wild flowers/stock with a lot of greenery for the reception. However, I really want roses at least in my boquet and figure there should be some in the BM's boquets too. Should they match the reception flowers?

The other consideration is I was planning on having the BMs boquets re-used for recption centerpieces only on the head table, so shouldn't they look like the other centerpeices?

Thanks!

Re: Matching bridal and reception flowers?

  • You do not have to use roses in everything.  If you only want to use them in your bouquets then that is perfectly fine.

No, the BMs bouquets do not have to look like the other centerpieces.  Since they are being used on the head table it will be fine that the "centerpieces" are slightly different from the others to denote the difference between the tables.

Don't over think this too much.  As long as you stick with the same color scheme throughout the different flowers will not matter.

  • The only thing my bouquets and the centerpieces have in common is the general shape and the color.  I've got totally different flowers for each of them, and I am also using the BM bouquets for decorations on the head table.  You can do whatever you want!
