Our wedding isn't actually taking place in Houston, so I haven't used any of the bakers here but I can tell you that I know of a lot of people that recommend Who Made The Cake?

From the other weddings I have been to here that have used them, the cake has always been amazing.

We are using Bavarian Cakery. Elain is kinda monotone and comes off very gruff but she is an awesome baker.

First of all, I am really not a cake fan. My cousin used Alma's Cakes. She was hesitant about going there because of the area, but everyone she worked with says it was delicious. If I remember right she paid about $500 for a four or five tier cake (each different flavors and fillings) and it had some pretty intricate decorations. It really was delicious.

I would definately be using them if a family friend (she worked in a cake shop for years and makes the most beautiful and tastey cakes I have ever seen) hadn't offered to make our cakes as part of a gift. I am very excited about this :) She was the first person that came to mind when I thought of our cakes, but I definately was not going to ask her to and I would still like to give her something for them. So when she offered it made my year!

They are pretty reasonable. I think she got four tiers, all different flavors, and a pretty intricate design for about $500. It was a beautiful cake too. It was chocolate butter cream with fall leaves made from fondant down the side of the cake.

If I weren't getting my cake for free I would definately use it.

I used who made the cake for my fiancee's birthday cake and it turned out incredible.  If we have the wedding in Houston we will be using them for sure for the cake.

Edible Designs by Jesse. Try the amaretto cake with raspberry and cream cheese filling. You'll be sold. The prices are also super reasonable. We're only paying $3.50 a slice for a 4 tier buttercream iced cake with scroll design and pearl shimmer.
