As I've previously mentioned in a few other posts, we can't book our venue until 1 yr out.  We're planning a smaller DW with this as our backdrop.  I'm super impatient so the wait is killing me :)



I guess in the paper a few days ago they mentioned that one of the local city-owned venues is looking at allowing alcohol.  Its a beautiful indoor pavilion that we would have considered using if we a) didn't want somewhere more 'meaningful' for our ceremony and b) they allowed alcohol.  It was super affordable, looks great, has good parking, is easy to get to, has chairs/tables/linens available that you can rent, good view, etc. 





On the plus side, I guess if we decide we can allocate more $ for the wedding or if anyone offers to pitch in we can always use it for a kick-ass AHR for people who are unable to travel to the DW.

    No, sadly July isn't here yet.  I just got a new planner though, and marked the 'one year left' day with a ton of heart stickers. We booked out venue already, but decided to go with a summer wedding instead of winter, and no I have no decorating ideas, which is kind of exciting, but kind of nerve wracking as well.  My plan at this point is to pick a dress next, and let that inspire the rest of it.

    I keep counting down till July too. There's so many things I want to diy but I have to keep reminding myself "I dont need this yet, its only going to collect dust" lol
    We also bought a house and its pointless to keep moving stuff from here to there.

    Aaaannndd..since we're sharing venues here's mine: 



    @Flutterbride..where is your reception? That backdrop is stunning!! I keep thinking of a DW but neither of our families would make it.

    We're looking to rent a VRBO on the riverfront.  Our wedding is going to be fairly small.  The open area where the kitchen/dining/living room already has seating for 19, so we'll only need to bring in a handful of chairs or so if people want to be inside.  We're planning on evening reception, so I was thinking about decking out the double-layer deck with twinkle lights so we can enjoy the weather if its not raining :)
