Moissanite Rings anyone? MoissaniteCo?

Thinking of purchasing a Moissanite engagement ring from MoissaniteCo. Has anyone used them? Recommended? Thanks!

  • I haven't, but all of the traditional jewelry stores I looked at for my engagement ring said they can do Moissanite if I wanted it.

So you may not have to do it online if you don't want to.
  • I hadwanted a moissanite ring for about 3 years and that's what my fiance popped the question with. :) I love my moissanite! It sparkles with all the colors of the rainbow. I don't know about that website in particular, but all the moissanites are from the same company - Charles and Colvard. I like rio grande for buying stones - And then you can figure out the band to set it on. :)
  • moissanite is beautiful...i used to work at sears and they carried this...they were so pretty and sparkly...

The center stone of my engagement ring is moissanite, with purple sapphire side stones.

I also went through a local jeweler who said they could order moissanite for the setting.  If you go through a jeweler, you could get a feel for the kind of ring that is right, then get the type and size stone you would like.

No matter who you order your ring through, the moissanite will be from Charles and Colvard, as that is the only company licensed to make it.  My rings came with certificates of authenticity as well.  I hope this helps and good luck with your purchase!

  • I have had my moissanite ring for a year now - I have this set in pallidium and with a 1.8 ct. cushion.

I absolutely LOVE my ring. I didn't want to get a diamond because of the cost and the ethical qualms about supporting the blood trade - SO FI and I looked for alternatives and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE my Moissanite. NO ONE questions if it's diamond or not, and everyone just compliments me on how gorgeous it is. I got a big rock for a fraction of the cost of diamond ;)

FI used Moissaniteco and they were a dream to work with :D I highly recommend them!!!

  • My ring is from moissaniteco.com and I love it to pieces. I upgraded to the Amora Moissanite and it's so worth it. Gorgeous and for a fraction of the price of diamonds.

  • Made by Kessler Mroz in St. Louis. 2 carat equivalent. And this is a bad photo too. Love love love my ring

  • yes yes yes!!!! my ring is from moissaniteco, and it is gorgeous! so much bigger and more beautiful than a smaller diamond that my FI could afford. I got the amora enhancement, and I couldn't be happier. I have never noticed any weird tinting or shading, and i have to wear sunglasses to look at it in bright sunlight because it sparkes so much!! most people assume it's a diamond, but i told my friends that it's moissanite and they think it's amazing

We bought our setting at Spence (lucked out with a gemologist helping us!) and bought a 1 carat round Moissy (Forever Brilliant - 4 shades whiter)  for the centre stone.  We bought the loose stone from a Charles and Colvard recommended distributer in LA (we live in Canada) and are having an independant goldsmith set it.  I got a LOT of attitude from jewelers when I called around to get it set.  Spence wont set other stones or I would have gone through them.  The gemologist that sold us the band was interested in seeing the Moissy and he was VERY impressed and said you wouldnt be able to tell the difference at ALL.   Even beside the real diamonds you couldnt tell.

With a platinum setting, diamond band and halo with Moissy centre stone, under $3,000 with taxes, shipping and setting!  And the ring is the equivalent to the $12,000 Spence one.  The Moissy is being set right now and we arent announcing our engagement publicly (other than here lol) until we have the ring back - so excited!

Go for it - I have no regrets!  We only told family and close friends and they totally respect us for saving our money when you cant tell the difference anyways.

One word of caution though, not all people selling Moissanite are the same, we had a local dealer in Moissanite that wanted $1600 for the loose stone, that I bought online for $300, and his wasn't the Forever Brilliant.
