Good afternoon Knotties - My wedding is fast approaching in May and I'm in need of a JOP in the Newport area. Do you ladies have any recommendations? I'm hoping to not spend a small fortune either. We contacted one JOP who was looking to charge $750. I almost fell out of my chair. I think for anyone to charge $750 for a 10 min ceremony is a little crazy.

    I used Frank Camera. He was really nice and awesome to work with. He's done a ton of weddings so he knows what he's doing. His price is really good too!

    We are using Barbara Medeiros. She lives in Westport, MA, but is traveling to our wedding in Newport in June. Her price was *much* lower than that crazy $750!

    I'm also looking for this kind of information, so thanks for posting!

    I have a meeting set up to meet Michael Eagan from http://heavenlyweddingsinri.com/ we talked on the phone and he seemed down to earth. He quoted something like $400 as a worst case scenario. I feel like it's much harder to find this than it should be.

It's gotta be 10 mins or less (otherwise I might go for a swim in water if its any longer). We don't need him for a rehearsal. In the end he gave me a $275 price. Not sure if thats plus or minus the $50. </div><div>

    My brother used Micheal Kelleher. I think he did a really good job. He directed everyone without a rehearsal and I think it flowed really well. They had a short ceremony as well but it was probably more than 10min.
     I definitely would have considered him but we are having a friend who is a minister marry us

    We're using Mike Egan, his pricing is great and his personality is wonderful. $750 is definitely insane for such a short ceremony.
