something OTHER than all the single ladies!!!

Hey everyone!

I am having a hard time picking songs for the bouquet/garter toss.

Music is our theme, and my FH and I do not want to go with an obvious choice for any of our music selections (my dad and I are dancing to a Christmas song for our dance for my July Wedding) .  Hence the reason why we are so antil Beyonce for this part of our reception.

Any quirky but not corny ideas would be appreciated!

    I'm doing Wishin' and Hopin' by Ani DeFranco, because I am tired of hearing Single Ladies as well!

    For the garter, I like "Oh Yeah" remember the song from the end of Ferris Bueller's Day Off?

    I hate "Single Ladies" too. "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" is almost as bad, but maybe that's an option. Or maybe Gretchen Wilson "Redneck Girls" if you're okay with country?

    I have the same feelings towards Put a Ring on it. I like the one from Moulin Rouge though!

    How about "I'm Just a Girl" from No Doubt...if you like that style of music. Or "Glamourous" by Fergie...Or "Good Girls Go Bad" by Cobra Starship...

    That's a cute idea.  While that version is fun, personally I prefer the original Marylin Monroe version of "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend."  I wouldn't have thought of it otherwise.  Thanks.

    "Overboard" by Ingrid Michaelson would be fitting and original too.

    "The Title" by Ciara

    "Holding Out for a Hero" either Tina Turner or Frou Frou version

    Thank you all for the great ideas! I am going with Sparkling Diamonds from Moulin Rouge, that is such a fun idea.  For the garter we're going with Got to give it up by Marvin Gaye :)

    I'm not doing a bouqet toss, but if I was, I would want to use "Labels or Love" by Fergie, from the Sex and the City movie.
