NEWBIE NEEDS DESTINATION WEDDING ADVICE!!!

I am looking to start planning my destination wedding with my fiance and family, but very confused and unsure on where to start or who to talk to. I have a total of 12 guests whom I will be paying for there flights and hotels. Im looking for an all inclusive resort, 4 nights (5 days) for my family, and a totall of 12 nights for me and my fiance (we want to incorporate our honeymoon). I have a budget of $30,000. PLEASE HELP! I am so confused on what locations to look at or if this is even possible on this budget!

ANY ADVICE WOULD HELP!!

  • Holy cr@p with the yelling. Caps are yelling on the Internet, so please save the caps lock for actual emergencies. As Cove said, find a travel agent to assist you (there are many who specialize in destination weddings), and check out the Knot's Destination Weddings board as well for ideas.

  • You might want to narrow it down to where you want to go first.  Hawaii, California, Mexico, Puerto Rico, etc.etc.   I'm sure there are tons of travel agents who can help you plan the whole thing, but you should have an idea of where you want to be.
  • Really!? I looked into the bahamas and everything im quoted is over 45,000... Ill have to dig deeper or find a better agent!

    Thanks @amanda

My fi and I are planning a destination wedding as well. The first thing you really must do is find a reputable travel agent. It will make all the different in the world. We have planned quite a few through ours. So, we know she does a great job and even handled a group of 25 + people this past March. After that plan out the little things, but in all honesty your travel agent should do most of the work.

    Best of Luck.
