Hotels

Hi everyone!  My wedding is April 2012 at Tendenza in Northern Liberties and I'm looking for a nice, affordable hotel to block rooms.  I'm thinking somewhere in Center City that either has a great bar, or is near a good spot for after wedding activities.  Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions?

Thanks!

DoubleTree Center City. They were pretty inexpensive and the place is really nice.

There are two Marriotts right by City Hall - one is a Courtyard Marriott and the other is a regular one.  I haven't looked into their rates yet, but a friend of mine is using the Marriotts and said that they give a good rate and allow you to block 25 rooms with no commitment.  They have a bar in the lobby, there's a bar at the Loew's accross the street, and other bars in that area are closeby.

Also, there's a Sheraton in Society Hill, which is close to a lot of bars in Old City.

Also be sure to negotiate. I learned that when I blocked rooms at different hotels. I acted like the other hotel had a more competetive price which made the current hotel give me a better rate w/breakfast included for my guests. It worked out great :)

You may want to try the Radisson. THey are in the old Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Great location.

I am using the Omni. I am not sure what price point you are looking for but it is very nice and has a nice bar plus all of the old city bars right there.
