NWR: Glasses!

After 27 years of life I am joining the glasses club lol.  I still have 20/20 vision but "with effort".  Basically, the muscles around my eyes are working hard for to to see as clearly as I do, resulting in daily headaches.  So I have the lowest script possible, but they're all the time glasses and I'm actually kind of excited about my new accessory!  And I ordered 2 pair (it was cheaper than 1 due to a promo) so I'll get to switch it up whenever I want :)

Re: NWR: Glasses!

  • I think I will be joining you soon. I had lasik eye surgery 10 years ago but I can feel my eyes are getting worse. I need to go get them checked and get glasses. My surgery has a life time warranty but my eyes have to not change for over a year before I can get it redone.

I mostly am having trouble driving at night.

  • Post pics of your new glasses when they come in!
  • I got glasses this summer and they really help. I got really cute Coach ones haha. I was excited for mine to come in too
  • I actually kind of want glasses; everyone says I look young, and I feel like having glasses might make me look a little older.  Plus, I definitely think my eyesight is going a little bit from all the work I do on computers these days...so sad!

Would love to see pictures of your new glasses when they come in!

  • I've been wearing glasses/contacts since like 6th grade. I've gotten so used to contacts that glasses throw me off, but I always love getting a new pair of cute glasses :)

  • I've been wearing glassses for about 8 years. I have one eye that is okay but the other one I have pathological myopia in which has caused it to get macular degeneration in - it is not the age related kind. I see a retinal specialist for it and unforutanetly might end up losing most of my vision in it. I always make sure to get glasses that I love because I wear then every second that I'm not alsleep.

  • I recently joined the club myself, I can see without glasses but not as sharp as I could be and my eyes are being over worked causing headaches. I also have astigmatism in both eyes and somehow am nearsighted and farsighted (the way I understand it one eye is near the other far). I had to get prescription polarized sunglasses because I apparently have a blonde fundus which makes my eyes extremely sensitive to bright light. I got my glasses two weeks ago and I'm still getting used to them.

  • I got glasses when I was nine, and contacts at age 12. I hardly ever wear glasses--can't stand having them on my face--but I got the Night and Day contacts, so a little extra wear isn't bad for my eyes. (I still take them out at night).
  • I will post pics! Wish I could've gotten cut coach ones but glasses are so expensive!! Maybe after the wedding :)

  • I've had glasses since I was 4---and hate them!  I don't like the feel of them on my face. I had rigid contacts at 17 through college.  Then I got lazy.  I can't put them right when I get up, I have to be awake for an hour or so and then I run out of time.  I've tried soft contacts a few years ago and can't get the hang of them.  Going to try them again in March.  I don't want to wear glasses in my wedding photos, plus my visiion is better with contacts.
