Where did you get invitatations?

Where did you get your invitations and how far in advance did you order them? Anyone order them from a store rather than online?

I ordered about eight months out, but that's because they were having a sale and I had the cash on hand to pay for them. I think they arrived in a week or two. I was very pleased with them and the whole process was very easy.

I looked through some catalogs in a local Party City, but I just wanted to do something quick and easy, and for me that meant ordering online in my pajamas.

i used especially for you in manalapan, she was great she totally worked with my budget and matched prices online.. some websites have invites super cheap but i was too afraid to order from them.. i felt more comfortable having someone do mine.. susan is honest and tells you were to spend you money and where not to.. i didnt get expensive invites and she treated me just as good as if i was spending a ton of money with her..i used to work down the hall from here if you tell her you know me she will probably give you a little better of a discount!

Invitations by Dawn - fast service, good price and we loved out invites - however I did not love the email back and forth process for the proofing and changes - I would rather have been able to talk to someone.

    Joan is amazing. A.MA.ZING.

We ordered them in mid August, received them less than two weeks later, and the wedding is in November.

We looked at invitation books at a local print shop, found the one we loved, and then ordered it online with Joan. It was easy, less expensive, and I was confident I'd love it since I'd seen it already.

I'm lazy.  We ordered from Vistaprint.  We didn't do anything fancy and they coordinated everything.  They were great.  Even when we ordered them with the slow shipping we got it in less than 10 days!

We looked in-person at Kate's Paperie and Papyrus and just didn't see anything we loved for us.  Nothing seemed to fit our wedding style.  So at that point, we realized that we should probably go the custom route (which can be tricky at most stores because most stores don't have designers -- they sell invitations from design companies).  We ended up ordering ours from Ephemera Press (www.ephemera-press.com).  I highly recommend them if you want letterpress (they only do letterpress).

We got our save-the-dates, wedding invites, ceremony programs, menus, escort cards and thank you cards from The Papery in Summit. The save-the-dates & invitations were letterpress, which we ordered through their vendor. (They arrived about 2 weeks after we ordered them.)  The rest was custom-designed in the store to match our invites & printed there. (They were ready in less than a week.)

Everything came out great & I would highly recommend the Papery. We chose not to order from the internet because I wanted to deal with a live person and wanted help with etiquette, wording & colors.

My mom went to The Papery in Denville for the shower invites & thank you cards, which were really nice boxed cards that they custom printed with our info in the store.

I second The Papery, I went to the Princeton location for my invites and they were ordered, proofed and delivered in about 9 days. I didn't rush them or anything. My particular invites are from Carlson Craft so maybe that brand had a slow week lol but The Papery was great to work with!!
