Hi Ladies! After some stress and some good advice from some of you, thank you btw, I took a little break from the online planning and now everything is coming together and we actually have a lot of stuff booked/figure out now!
Ceremony Venue - We've put the deposit down on a golf course and I'm sooooo glad we switched it from our prior venue. It will either be at Silverstone Golf Club or Badlands, they are owned by the same people, but depending which location they book both a ceremony and reception at, we'll be at the other one. Both are beautiful though, and we'll know which one it will be in time for invites to go out. Here's their website, Tanya has been great to work with so far, and the price is fantastic!
http://events.par4golfmanagement.com/weddings.htmlReception Dress - Which I'm in love with. I plan to wear my wedding dress for half of the reception and change into the short dress for the remainder and to go out. It's taffeta which is a fabric I think is fun. Here it is! I plan to dress it up with a bridal type hair piece etc.

Another Bride who wore it:

Personalized Hangers - The wire ones are pretty popular but I saw different ones on a Style Me Pretty wedding and I loved em. So DIY'd and I love them, they were more work than I anticipated and I still have a couple more to do, including one for me. I am also going to make a couple changes, like on the cardboard put pearl earrings I bought the BMs, and move the hair flower to the middle of the hanger. The BM dress is one strap with flowers, which will also add fun to the hanger. Pictures are in my bio under DIY of the inspiration ones:

Our
flight is also booked, as well as booking
Lori White for Hair and Makeup. Last but not least, my dress finally fits! I bought it pre-owned and it was pretty tight which I knew it would be, but after 3 months of doing a Biggest Loser contest and working my ass off, I'm about 12 lbs. lighter and now it fits! Our final weigh in is on Sun., and I'll be trying on my dress then for my MOH who hasn't seen it in person and will take and post pictures then!
Thanks again for the advice on the ceremony etc., and hope everyone's planning has been coming along well!

Thanks on the congrats and dress compliment! Ceremony - Venues like golf clubs obviously want to book a ceremony and reception together, that's where they make the money. Some courses won't even do ceremonies only. Tanya is willing to do just the ceremony, but if down the road in a few months they book a ceremony and reception at one of the courses, then we'll be at the other. We're gauranteed one of them, and again we'll know which one in plenty of time. They are only about 10 minutes apart, and both are beautiful with different Pros and Cons. The contract says it will be at one or the other. Oh and we get the time we want, which is 5:00 so we can take pictures on the course before sunset. Some courses will do a ceremony only but it has to be early, so they can book a later ceremony and reception combo.
Are you still planning an in-suite or are you still figuring out your reception?
And I like your hangers.Very cute.

Thanks! and thanks for your comments back on my stressed post, much needed advice. Oh no we are still planning on the In-Suite in the L Suite at TheHotel, we have it booked for 2 nights. The big stuff is pretty much set in stone now, and I'm very happy with all of it. Everyone has different tastes on what's important to them, and for us the changes fit us way more than before. Thanks on the hangers, I think they'll be a cute photo op:)
Glad you're back! Can you believe we have rebooked for the Flamingo? So funny how we all change our minds. Anyway, would you mind telling me where your party dress is from? It is WAY cute. I'd love something like that for the night before our weding at my "girls" night!

Hi Erin- Thanks! Well good, I'm glad you guys were able to decide, I'm sure your wedding will be beautiful! Do you know where your at home is going to be yet?
The dress is a BCBG http://www.bcbg.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3983575&cp=2769162.4392742&clickid=cat_leftnav_txt&parentPage=family I got mine at Bloomingdale's, Macy's also carry the line but they didn't have this particular dress at the Macy's in MN. I almost wonder if it looks too casual for a reception dress, hopefully I'll still look like a bride in it, but I really do love it and the fit is great.
We will be doing our reception at Saffron in late July. Since we have such an in with them it has been much easier and basically stress-free for my mom.
I think Flamingo will be good. I AM super nervous about the smell issues, but less than I was about the location of COF. Give and take, I guess!
[QUOTE]I KNEW it was BCBG! I have an eye for that label (my favorite!). I'm sure I can find it or something similar to it out here. I think it is beautiful. You could dress it up with some fancy shoes and a veil. I think it is great!! We will be doing our reception at Saffron in late July. I know, I love BCBG! Not sure what size you are but online they have an 8 and 10 available, mine fit true to size for me. But yeah if not this one, you'll be able to find something similar, if you don't want white or ivory, BCBG has a lot of dreses on sale right now actually. Yeah I'm thinking I'll wear my wedding shoes, pics in bio, but totally unsure on the hair piece, need to do some looking.
Congrats on Saffron, your guests are going to be stoked! Make sure to tell me about your menu when that's decided, I love to hear about food, sad I know. As for the Flamingo, well let's hope since they've received some complaints they will do something about it. When I canceled I asked if anyone else said the same thing and she said they've gotten a few complaints. So one would think they would fix the issue. But if not, like I said before for whatever reason it didn't smell that much at all at the Gazebo location. Now walk away from that local and it's a different story. I'm sure it will be fine, and you'll have a beautiful wedding, all you'll be focused on is your FI anyways! (that wasn't the only reason we canceled there btw, we just wanted a different feel too).
