We are trying for a vintage airy romantic wedding and when I ask peoples thoughts i get funny looks. Im glad I found some pictures that show how pretty it can be.

Very airy and cloudlike...I like it!
My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!

A friend of mine did large baby breath balls on top of tall vases for her wedding CP's. They looked great! Really nice!

Baby's breath is making a big come back this year, but in mass amounts like the photos shown.  One of my Nov. weddings we are doing this very thing.  Good luck!

If you're doing this route, I would only arrange them in full, luscious sizes; otherwise, they may look cheap (because they really are an inexpensive bloom, which is a plus!).

ohhh I like!  I really liked the one with the Stephano flowers (not sure if it's spelled that way).  Also really like the boquet, simple yet elegant and best of all cost effective! :)

Yay! I am doing this as well, I also get funny looks from people when I tell them we're doing all baby's breath (but this could also be because I've changed my mind on flowers like 50 times already lol). Just ignore them, it's not something you see a lot but we know how beautiful it's going to look (not to mention cost effective)

I know this is going to sound cruel (and I'm really not trying to be snarky), but I wouldn't feel right not giving you fair warning!

In my area there is a rather unpleasant weed that looks fairly similar to the baby's breath you've posted pictures of above. It's all I can think of when I look at those pictures.

I'm sure, in person, those arrangements would look beautiful; but from a distance, they're reminiscent of weeds (as much as I hate to say it).

It's just something to bear in mind when considering your wedding photos and your guests - it would bother me if people were sitting there wondering if I was holding a bouquet  of weeds, when in fact it was an eloquent flower!

I think the weed your thinking of is Queen Anne's Lace. I went to my floral appointment with the full intentions of getting all babys breath mostly for the fact of price. The florist is friends with my mom and talked me out of it and into roses with a great price on them and I think I will be much happier.

    For $242.00:

    Bridal Bouquet (Roses and stephanotis)
    Grooms Bout ( ' )
    Toss Bouq. ( " )

2 BM(Roses and star of bethlaham)
    8 Bouts ( " )
    7 corsages  ( " )

[QUOTE]Actually, at least two of those pics are Million Star, which is Baby's Breath but a very particular kind that is a bit heartier and fuller, and nicer looking.  It's also slightly more expensive, so make sure that you let your florist know that you want Million Star BB specifically.

The Million Star is actually the one I'm going with in my boquet but our flowerist didn't try to fool us lol I said I liked the babies breathe sample she had on a center piece and she corrected me telling me it was Million Star.  She's giving it to me the same price she charges for regular BB :) My boquets and center pieces aren't all MS BB though just a filler.

I think it can look good if done right. I don't really care for BB because it is overused in many bouquets. I used to work in a flower shop and people would always want it in everything and it just didn't look good with everything. I got burnt out on it. If you keep it simple and the bouquets are full and shaped right (not lopsided or uneven). That being said, I think it would work well with what you're going for and would look nice if done like the pictures. Except the stephanotus and BB bouttoniere- that's just not my taste. Sorry, i think it would look better as all BB.

I have to agree on the million star, and I personally hate BB with other flowers. I was thinking of doing light purple bouquets for my BM's, but nothing is finalized until this tuesday when I meet with my florist.

It is definitely making a comeback!  I only care for it by itself and in mass quantities...ie the photo w/ the bride above.Cool
