Tuxes - check!

FI and I booked our tuxes this weekend.  I got an email from Men's Wearhouse that they were having their Valentine's sale, so we got a pretty good deal.  We got $40 off each tux (which we needed, cause the only tuxes that come in a slim fit are the most expensive Vera Wang ones.  He looks way better in slim fit and his brothers in the wp are both slim, so it made sense).  Plus for every 5 tuxes booked we either got a free suit or a free tux rental.

We have 10 guys in tuxes besides FI, so we get a free suit and we get a free rental for himself!  Since we had to get more expensive tuxes for the wp (ushers and dads are in a cheaper tux because we didn't need the slim cut for any of them), we're talking about putting some money toward each guy's tuxes in the wp to help out.

And we got a free tie for booking.  :)  All in all, I think it was a pretty nice deal.  Free suit, free tie, free tux rental.  You can't do much better than that.

    We did that exact same deal this weekend too!  I really loved the Vera Wang tuxes, but my FI isn't slim fit so we went with the next step down (they showed us three options).

    They told us to have the 10 additional guys get measured by March 25th, which seems really early to me!  Did they give you guys a similar date?

    no we were told by July or early august, but it may be different sicne we did do the vera tuxes that aren't available until August.

    She told us by April 1st, but that the date was flexible.  The reason she gave for so early is because the first groups to get measured get brand new tuxes bought for their guys, and the later you register, the more likely that you'll be using already used tuxes.  Also she said that as you get into May/June, you're dealing with a bunch of high schoolers trying to get prom tuxes and you'll just have a bigger chance of having to wait around in the store longer.  Makes sense.  Now I suppose we should make sure FI actually has asked everyone to be in the wedding...

    Wow we were told July for the men and August for my son (due to the growth spurts at that age). March does seem crazy early to me!

    Yay! FI has been looking at a lot of tux pictures online trying to figure out what he wants. I'm hoping to get that checked off the list around the end of next month.

    Also, your Segway picture is too cute :-)

    I agree, that seems way early. We were told to wait to do it until this summer. We have a coupon that expires at the end of June for $40 off each, so we'll likely do it in June for that reason.

    They actually took my FI's measuements when we went... talk about EARLY. He's going back probably around July to re-do it though to be on the safe side.

    Yeah, FI's half brother is 13 and he isn't supposed to get measured until August 22nd.  Hopefully he stops growing that last month (although he is tiny!  He needs to grow!).
