Bridal Shops in/around Lancaster

I'm getting ready to schedule some dress shopping appointments and I was wondering if anyone had opinons about the bridal shops in the Lancaster area. I'm wondering about the service and attention you received at Alfred Angelo (Fruitville Pike), Classic Weddings, and Reifsnyders. Other recommendations are welcome! I singled those three out because I did some early dress browsing online and found a few dresses I really liked that each of those shops have.

    In White just opened in Lancaster. I have no idea what they are like but it might be worth checking out.

    I recommend alfred angelo.  they are so nice and eager to help, but not pushy.  we did have one issue come up and they completly took care of it.  Of course as with any shop, there are the few girls you want to avoid.  But they make themselves obvious lol

    I had gotten my dress outside or lancaster in york's Davids Bridal; but my mom and his mother both got their dresses for the Alfred Angelo in Lancaster and their service kind of sucked. They weren't pushy per say but they didn't make anything easy. My mom's dress came in in two of the wrong colors so they had to reorder it but it was the wrong size... :sighs: lets just say it was a headache, if you want to deal with them feel free; but know in advance that you may need to be a bit stubborn. I have however heard good things about  the Reifsnyders both service and product wise.

    Weddings by Paulette in Millersville is right near Lancaster and I've had a great experience with them so far.

    I loved working with Classic Weddings.  Very nice, but a little crowded.  Reifsnyders was fine.  The woman did make me try on mermaid dresses when I def wanted a ball gown.  Alfred Angelo is where my BM dresses are from.  It seemed good for those, but I have heard not so good things about there.  In White was pleasant, but a little pricey imo.  I went to about 12 different shops, so I saw the range.  Ended up getting the dress cheap on ebay!!

    One wedding I was in, her mother went to Fancy Schmancy in Ephrata and found the perfect dress. I have no idea on cost or service but it is another option.

    I would definitely recommend checking out In White, they are located right by F&M College.  When i walked in the door i was greeted by my name, offered something to drink and sat down with Shari to discuss my ideas for a dress. That is where i found my dress at and the bridesmaids found their dresses too!  The owner Shari is wonderful to work with!  She treated me like a queen!  Love In White!!!!!!!!!

    I went to Weddings by Paulette and my experience was awful!!!!!!!  i was rushed, i wasn't greeted other than who is the bride and start picking dresses out, then when i was getting into a dress that made me cry, the owner came in the dressing room and told me they were closed!!!  RUDE!!!  you couldn't take pictures in there either.  horrible horrible time there!!!!!

    I LOVED Classic Weddings. Elizabeth & her saff are so sweet and always going out of the way to find what you want. I did not find my dress there, but the BMs got theirs there, and we also used them for tuxes.
    My dress came from Alfred Angelo - no problems, but just not the same experience you'll have at a smaller local shop.

    I visited In White on its opening weekend. The owner was super nice and helpful, offered us champagne, and I really liked the bright lighting and the huge mirrors they had, although I wasn't entirely thrilled that they were right in front of the windows. The layout of the store is very open. She had me try on a few dresses I wasn't too happy with and wouldn't have chosen myself, but as I found out this week, that isn't a bad thing. You never know what you'll like once it's on! The only bad thing I could say about my time there was that they seemed to get easily distracted with helping other people. We were there for probably 4 or 5 hours on a Thursday afternoon. Perhaps after being in business for a few months they've gotten a bit better at multitasking. Still though, an overall pleasant experience.

    This week I visited Classic Weddings. It was only my second dress shopping experience, as In White had been my first, so my first impression was "oh my gosh she's going so fast, I just tried on 5 dresses and I've only been here 10 minutes!" That is probably exaggerated but it's how I was feeling at the time. However, I'm not saying that it was bad to be going fast. It was nice to go at a faster pace, instead of the ho humming "do I like this dress or don't I" that I was doing at In White. Elizabeth was very nice and helpful, and even picked out a dress I wouldn't have thought of but now am probably going to go purchase tomorrow. I'm so excited! The shop felt a bit crowded with all of its dresses and the layout, but I was able to see just fine how the dresses looked, felt, and moved. The lighting was alright, and the only reason I'd find fault with it is because I was in the super brightly lit In White first.

    So in short, In White and Classic Weddings are both nice places, but different in atmosphere.
