Invane00 or anyone else interested in diamond stimulant (moissanite or asha)

I saw your post about DNL engagement rings. You said that you would consider moissanite. I just wanted to give my opinion. I think you should go with moissanite or asha over DNL. DNL is just a overpriced CZ.

I have been doing much research into moissanite and a fellow knottie (I think her name was PandaBurr) introduced me to the forum on betterthanadiamond.com.

We are about to order an asha for myself. Click here for more info on Asha. Asha is a high quality CZ with a special coating on it to make it last. I'm not an expert but that link can explain everything.

I have determined that asha is the best choice for myself. I decided against moissanite because of the fact that there is a slight green tint to the color. I am having the hardest time picking my ring out (which is why I haven't ordered yet; but I think I have made my final decision to get "Abigail").

Moissaniteco.com and ashadiamonds.com are owned by the same people so they have mostly the same stuff. Both sites have been noting except helpful to me, which is a big plus. Let me know if I can help you with anything else. I plan to post pictures of my rings when I get them.

From the moissanite that I have seen it seems to be pretty rare to get a moissanite that has color to it now in days.

The shape that is the whitest is the round brillant and as you get more into the fancy shapes such as heart and pear you are more likely to see some color.

Size also plays a factor. If you get a moissanite over 1.5 ct equivlant you are more likely to see some color to it.

Moissaniteco has enhanced stones that you can purcahse which go through an extra process to make the stones whiter. They are about $100 more a ct.

I have a 1.5 cushion cut moissanite stone and my stone is white and with no hint of green. Do not let the chance of color deter you from moissanite because I think that is becoming less of an issue. Here is a pic of my ring.

Wow thanks so much girls! I really appreciate the info. I have been doing so much research on these kind of rings instead of spending so much money on a mined diamond. But its just SO much and so confusing. and i dont want to get screwed. I will def look into the suggestions you ladies have given me! Thanks so much!

I too have been looking at all three of the sites for a while, I tend to like the styles on DNL much better then the other two, but it seems like the Moissanite stone carries more validity then the CZ's from Asha and DNL. Has anyone gotten the Avron style, it looks really pretty, I wish there was a location that I could try it at. I am in florida and would not mind driving a couple of hours.
