Unity Candle alternatives

okay ladies here is your challenge should you choose to accept...

I am looking for a unity ceremony alternative, but here is the catch..... The ceremony is outside and I am looking to do a unity alternative that would not require having a table.  It is beautiful outside and I am wanting the view unobstructed by not having an arch or table.

any ideas?  I'm not crazy about the wine, water, sand , tying, or candles.. ( i know picky picky) but I'm sure some of you are dying for a challenge :)

raeyannashaheen@hotmail.com with ideas :) thanks !

Eh, I am not creative enough to accept this challenge.  However, something to think about is that the candle may be difficult to light and/or keep lit of the ceremony is outdoors.  For this reason, I am doing a sand ceremony.  I thought it might be bad luck if the unity candle blew out during the ceremony.

Rainy, what about planting a seedling or a small tree? The unity part would be you both putting soil into the pot and heck, what could go better with your theme?

RainyRae - HI! I cannot believe its only a month until your wedding. Time flys.

Anyhow - I love the tree planting suggestion.

ETA: The 2000 dollar budget wedding chick did this:
    Tree-Planting Ceremony:
Instead of reading something about how love takes effort, we planted a resilient Live Oak sapling to represent the growth of our love and symbolize that marriage—like a tree—requires constant nurturing and nourishment.
