wedding gown try on's plus size samples help

so in a  few months mid to late summer i will be looking for my wedding gown i am plus size and find that most places only have smaller size samples mabye a 10 or 12 in the mix i want to be able to try on a gown in as close as possible to my size. (20) i know bridal bells in berlin has plus size gowns to try on as well as a place in glastonbury that sells sample gowns. 

 i went to davids bridal a few months ago and i wont go back i want a dress from a local place something thats unique that you wont see in a commerical place like davids bridal or alfred angelo. 

i live in the central ct area but i am willing to travel to  any part of central ct farmington valley area middlesex county, shoreline Saybrook  westbrook new london waterford areas, manchester area. and as far as watertown, 
my budget is 1500 but willing to spend up to 1800 if i find something that i like. 

i cant tell how a gown thrown on me in a size 10 will look on my body the most they will do is put clips in the back ill be spilling out of the dress. i called a few places and most have no samples or maybe 1 sample ( does not help me)

    Bridal Bells Boutique in Berlin carries plus size dresses and Barbara, the owner, is great too!!!  She has tons of Mori Lee dress which are all under 1500 (in fact she doesn't carry any dress over that pirce point) and gorgeous (though I might be biased since my dress is Mori Lee and from her store) and has a large collection of plus size sample dresses!!!

    Mori Lee is my fav designer so far and the only other place that has her gowns is klinfeilds in nyc ill have to check out bridal bells then

    i know Julie Allen Bridals in Newtown has plus size dresses to try on.  i dont know the designers though.  if you are willing to travel to that area of CT. it really is a great shop.

    I think the Bridal Mall in Niantic also has plus sizes.    I hear mixed reviews about them so I wouldn't put them at the top of the list but they could be an option.

    also how many places did you go to try on dresses before deciding i dont want to overwhelm myself i have been to this place in glastonbury sample gowns sizes0-30 and davids bridal but i was with my best friend. this time i am taking my moh( my sister my mom my aunt and sil i am thinking maybe 2 more shops make apts on the same day kinda thing. i also feel like ok i dont like anything and i tell them that but then they start with we can hold the dress for a small fee. 

    i am def not like some of those kilnfeild bridals on say yes to the dress who have tried on thousands of gowns.

    As a plus size bride I went to two places that I was able to try on tins of dresses. Wedding Embassay, Watertwon Call and speak to Megan the owner AMAZING service. This time of the year she typically has plus size trunk shows plus what she has in stock. I ended up getting my dress at stylish Impressions, In Farmington, I also worked with the owner Diane, very sensitive to my size but knew I still wanted something beautiful without screaming plus size. Both places have great prices especially when you start working the racks. On a side note I liked going at nigh when there were less brides trying on dresses I felt like if I didn't fit perfectly in something I wasn't so seld conscious. Good Luck!!!

    If you don't mind traveling, Boticelli in North Providence, RI is amazing! The owner is wonderful, dresses are all size 14 and up. I had a great time trying on dresses that actually fit and felt SO pretty! Seriously, I would take the trip! For bridal, its appointment only. Give her a call!
