Big Change of Plans!

Hi Everyone...just wanted to keep you guys updated on a BIG change of plans.  I had originally been planning a June 29, 2013 wedding at the Carousel at Lighthouse, but as we were getting started with the planning, it just didn't feel quite right, and so my fiance and I have decided to go back to our original plan, which was for a winter wedding.  So we've just switched to January 2013 at the Union League Cafe in New Haven.  We're very excited, and I'm especially happy not to have to wait quite so long to get married (or worry about all those rentals!).  Anyone else getting married there or been to a wedding there?

    I originally wanted to do something at a place like Lighthouse Point bc I feel you have more control. However, all of the coordinatin gave me such anxiety that I nixed the idea.

    My cousin is getting married at Union League this November so I will be sure to let you know about the wedding.  I'm sure it will be fantastic as they are always voted best restaurant.  Now you have less than a year!! Best of luck. :)

    Congrats on the change. Union League is such an amazing restaurant, I'm sure it will be great (and a lot less stress instead of planning every little thing!!)

    congrats!im doing my wedding at lighthouse and i love it but the rentals and all the little details are definitely a pain. Union League is beautiful and the food is amazing. Jus think how beautiful pics would be with just a little bit of snow on the ground!

    Thank you everyone for the support!  We really agonized about the decision to switch, but it really feels right this time.  I knew going into it that it was going to be a lot of coordination, but i never thought it was going to make me as anxious as it did.  And I just wasn't quite willing to give up on wearing a cute fur shrug! 

    I figure I'll make another bride very happy by giving up a great June date.

    Thanks everybody.  Onto the photography decision!
