    8am-10am: hair

    10am-12:30: makeup, getting dressed, and lunch at my house

    12:30-3pm: first look & other photos

    3-4:30pm: ceremony & receiving line (just FI &I), other WP might get their pics taken depending on how many we actually got done before the ceremony

    4:30pm-5pm: go to reception site, take more photos (likely just FI and I and then family shots)

    5-6:30pm: cocktail hour

    6:30pm: grand entrance, cake cutting, 1st dance

    7pm: dinner

    7:45pm: thank yous & toasts

    8:10pm: parent first dances

    8:15pm: general dancing starts

    12am: end of the night

    All of these times are approximate of course!


    My photographer (she's from France) says that here in the US brides are ALWAYS running behind because hair and makeup take longer than the stylists/artists say - so I'd plan for extra time for those things, extra time to account for traffic problems, etc.

    12:30-1:15 Photographer comes to girls room for getting dressed pictures; lunch

    1:30-2:15: Boys pictures on golf course

    2:30-3:30 First look! Pictures with entire bridal party either at Lake Michigan or tree lined road depending on weather

    3:45 Pictures at Ramsdell, RELAX!!

    4:30 Ceremony

    5:00 Cocktail hour begins, family photos in the theater

  • I sent this to all of my wedding party a couple of weeks ago.  I'm not really sure about the order of events at the reception, but I have people in charge of that who will tell me what to do!

    8:30 am – 12:30 pm: Bridal Party Hair & Makeup (also lunch) @ Hilton Garden Inn

    12:00 – 12:30 pm: Groom Family and Groomsmen Pictures @ Redford Photography Studio

    12:30 pm: Bridal party to get in limo, Groom and Groomsmen to go to church via own
    transportation/Groom’s family to drive

    12:40/12:50 – 1:10/1:20 pm: Bride’s Family and Bridal party Pictures @ Redford Photography Studio

    1:20 pm: Bridal party to go to church in limo

    1:45 pm: End of pictures

    2:30 – 3:30 pm: Ceremony

    3:30 – 4:00 pm: Pictures at church, possibly receiving line for bride and groom outside

    4:00 pm: Bride, Groom, and Wedding Party all get in limo

    4:00 – 6:00 pm: Wedding party to travel around Pittsburgh in limo to take pictures at 3 locations
