Need some creative minds

i need to come up with the wording for a sign at the escort card table and I'm having a block, thought some of you may have good ideas :) Here is the scene: we are using NYC metrocards as our escort cards and writing names and tables in te black strip. Each table is going to be named after a place or event fi and I have been to in ny since moving here about a year ago. I found a girl on etsy who makes subway map wedding stationary and said she could make a larger one that we could put behind the display of metrocards. I don't know what to write on it though. I want something short that gets the idea across like grab your metrocard and ride the subway to Brian and Christines favorite NYC things from their past year there - but obviously I want it to flow way better than that and maybe sound kinda catchy?? Also the way she does the graphics is it is like different color train lines and usually writes things at the stops, if that gives you a better picture. Thanks for any and all ideas!

  • Alrighty I'll try this again b/c I the knot deleted my post before I got any responses! I need some help coming up with the wording for a sign that will be near our seating card table. I'm having a mental block and hoping someone has some good ideas. Here is our scene: fi and I moved to NYC this year and we wanted to name tables after places we've been in the city or events in the city we really liked and then have made a point to take pictures in these locations. Our seating cards are going to be subway metro cards with names and table names written in the black strip. I found a girl on etsy that does subway map inspired wedding stationary who said she could make a sign for us. It would be a train map with a phrase or word or two at a stop on the train if that makes sense. Anyways I need something cute that says grab your metro card and take the subway to one of our favorite places or events in NYC this year - but something that flows well and maybe is catchy. Any ideas?? Even half ideas would be helpful and maybe would get me on the right track. Thanks!!

  • All aboard!!!  Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but that is the first catchy phrase that came to mind when I read your post.  HTH!
  • you could kinda do a map sorta thing ... and since your seating cards are the metro cards .... make the sign like the subway map ... and then have like the name on the table where the cards are say like Penn Station or even Bleaker Street ...Canal Street or something like that and have the You are Here thing on your map .... and make each subway line on the map each of your tables .... like the A train takes you to (insert one of your table names here) and so on and so forth ...

  • I like the pp..... Name it after a station that means something to you... Or one that you use on a daily basis....
      Good Luck!!

  • Hi!
Congratulations to you on your recent nuptuals. I hope the married life is worderful.  I am wondering if you ever found a solution to your problem. I am in TX and my fiance is a native New Yorker. We will have MetroCards as escort cards. Most of my family have NO IDEA what a metrocard is and I'd like a cute and quick way to say, "this is a metrocard, take it to your table".  I noticed some of your replies didnt really answer your question, so I'm curious how you handled the situation.
    Your advice is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
