Fitting & Bustle

I went for my second fitting and bustle pinning yesterday. Happy to report - I LOVE MY DRESS STILL! I didn't want to take it off. I tried it on with my mom's veil and am soooo happy!! Pictures:

The bustle came out great! No more alternations needed! So when I go back for my last fitting/bustle lesson I have to pay $185. That's for the bustle, hem, and bringing in the seems on both sides from my bust to my knees. Does that seem like a lot for alternations? How much are yours?

Re: Fitting & Bustle

  • Looking good! Wedding alterations (and alterations to women's clothing in general) are outrageous, so I say that seems about right.
  • Nice!!  And no I don't think that is alot for alterations.  Mine are going to cost about $125 for a bustle, cups and the hips let out.

  • You look great!  That price is not bad at all.  I will be getting a hem, bustle and the bust taken in some at it will be 350! I was shocked at this price but it is where I got the dress and I didn't want to leave the store with it not fitting correctly.

  • I thinks a great price! i had a vintage lace dress taken in on the sides, a new lining added and the sleeves cut off all for $400 which i felt was waaay too much.
    lovely dress, btw
