F/U: My 1st shower!

It went really well! I didn't expect it to be so large! There were probably 40 women there... of whom I only had previously met about 5. I met every female relative my FI has about 3 generations and twice removed. ; ) But it was lovely.

They had all been told to bring a wedding photo of themselves, so it was SUPER fun looking at everyone's wedding photos from 50+ years ago (there were LOTS of cute elderly women... one couple has been married for 68 years!).

We got ALL our All Clad pots and pans, all our Calphalon pans, fry pan, cast iron, so on...

We got ALMOST all our small appliances - blender, toaster, ice cream maker, panini maker, popcorn popper, juicer (to the delight of FI!)

We also got our luggage and our end tables! and our vacuum! Among many other lovely things! I can't believe we have 3 more showers Surprised

    Also, my "ribbons hat" is GINORMOUS! I'll have to PIP when my mom emails me her pics. I'll be quite the looker at our rehearsal.

    Congrats! Four showers total seems like a lot.

    I'm so glad you had a good time! I would be thrilled to have all those pots and pans and appliances! Yay! Now you just have to find room for it all... :)

    Yay!  I'm glad you had fun!

    My second shower is this coming weekend, and I can't wait!  Although I must admit I am NOT very good at not looking at our registries.  I am definitely the kid that opened all the presents for Christmas when my parents weren't looking and then re-wrapped them so they wouldn't know.

    And yes, Desert.  Finding room for everything is the hardest part.  Especially since you're not supposed to actually USE the stuff til after the wedding.  Right now all our gifts are just sitting in a pile around our kitchen table, rendering the table itself absolutely useless.

    This is why my roomie is getting kicked out a month and a half in advance. I need her room ( and all the space her crap takes in the garage, she's a hoarder) for wedding stuff. So it's not all in my living room.

    Sounds like great fun , but wow 4 showers , lol , I don't think FI and I know that many people haha , but seriously that's great :)

    We barely have enough room to store what we own now , part of me is glad we prolly won't have one at all..might be for the best , but ice cream maker ? Complete win!
