Honeymoon booked for Jamaica!

We're staying at the Jewel Dunn's River Resort through a pretty good deal on expedia. I haven't seen much about it on this board, but it has great tripadvisor reviews. I'll try to do a review when we get back!

Recommendations for excursions in Ocho Rios? Dunns River Falls is a definite!

  • Sounds fun! When are you going? This is one of my options also!

Jewel has not changed much in layout since it was Sandals, so if you can't find Jewel pics, you could find Sandals Dunns pics.

As far as excursions, if you want something different, try Mystic Mountain. They have a "bobsled" ride that is sort of a cross between a tame roller coaster and a go-cart. It's hard to explain, but you can find videos you youtube or pics around. There is also a sky cable thing over the rain forest there (think Disney type thing) and also a zipline there. You can get the tour from your hotel or just take a taxi and buy at the door.

Off the beaten track is Turtle River Gardens, a great fall where you could take a picnic. You could go for the more commercial Dunns River Falls.

There are ATVs in the area and also Dune Buggies.

The hotel does have a good website, and you might want to contact them and let them know you are honeymooners. etc. Best wishes!
  • Sorry for the late reply..we'll be there in early November. Thanks for the tips DebbieTTO!
