Hello everyone!!
I've been MIA lately due to school but I'm back and really excited!! So without really having to even talk to my boyfriend about the whole planning thing he came out and said that we are engaged but just without a ring yet. ( background for those who don't know..my bf wanted to set a date in May but doesn't want to propose till around christmas time and I was nervous about planning a wedding in less than 5 months) So we ended up going to a place that my friend told me about and absolutely loved it so much that we booked it today!! He was really stoked about it and I couldn't be happier!
It is exactly what we are looking for in a venue. They don't have many pictures but the website is barringtonhillfarm.com and click on wedding event and venue rental if you want to check it out. Just wanted to share the exciting news since one of my last posts was so depressing haha. Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!
Re: Picked our venue today!!!
Not to be a debbie downer, but I think you might want to omit some of the info in your post, since it has the location, the date, and your name. I've heard some urban legends of evil-doings regarding venues on here.
And congrats on being engaged!!
P.S. I'd recommend checking out Mutley's farm fresh planning bio for some ideas.
[QUOTE]Congratulations! It's good you guys both found a place you both like. Not to be a debbie downer, but I think you might want to omit some of the info in your post, since it has the location, the date, and your name. I've heard some urban legends of evil-doings regarding venues on here.

as a newbie I am interested in hearing some of these urban legends.
Congrats on selecting a venue! I am sure that is a huge weight off of your shoulders.

Wow that is really horrible. People have too much time on their hands.
I am not much of an online sharer anyway. My facebook is on lock down and I try to be as general as possible on these boards.
I have heard over on the nest about people being "outed". They will be in public and someone will come up to them and ask if they are whatevertheirscreennameis. Scary.
Not likely, but something to be careful about. If you haven't heard from a vendor, call them!
