As you can imagine it's been a rough week. FI's dad slipped into a coma Tuesday morning and never woke up. He and his sister arrived in the wee hours Wed. morning an hour before he passed. The viewing was on Friday, family at 3:00 and open house 4-7, his mom wanted me there with FI & sister so we had a steady stream of visitors for several hours. The funeral was on Saturday and we were to be there an hour prior. FI's boss came down, plus his best man, and one of our ushers came to the viewing. FI was to read a poem from a hospice book during the service and he was up there just sobbing and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. He never cries and to see him like that hurt. His dad was really well known in the community and was a grade school teacher for years. The outpouring of support by people was great........although we got tired of all the food in the house so we went and got pizza Saturday night! Sunday night when FI got home he just laid on the floor staring at the ceiling in his own thoughts. He didn't want to talk. At some point he ran on the treadmill and came to bed. He went to work yesterday.
