Ok, guys. We finally picked a BM dress (thank goodness) which is this one: http://www.alfredangelo.com/collections/styles/7172, but in the charcoal gray on the bottom row of the color pallet.

My dilemma now is shoes. I don't care so much if they're the same brand or style, but I would like them to be close to the same color. Ideally, I think it would be awesome if I could find one good brand with lots of options, but I'm shoe-dumb so I don't even know where to start with that.

The other issue is that I have no idea what color to go with. I have found some dark grays that might match, but between the dresses and the GM suits, I'm worried that that may make for TOO much dark gray. Other options I'm thinking are light gray (almost silver) or even maybe a nude/neutral color. Other options are using our other color, light teal (but I'm afraid that may make it a little immature looking) or doing black (but I don't want it to look like a funeral).

    I would probably go with silver. 

    I gave my BMs a shoe color and let them pick their own.

    My first thought was silver also.  My girls' dresses were long so I didn't care what they wore.

    I think silver would be good, too. My girls are wearing a silver shoe I found for $20 at Payless. And they're a short heel, since we will be walking around on grass.

    I also agree with silver.  It looks like those BMs are wearing silver shoes of their choice.  They could probably find some nice ones on sale now since prom/formal season is over.

    Silver sound pretty, but even black would do and wouldn't look like a funeral.

    My girls did gold. Two of them already had gold strappy shoes and they all coordinated nicely. Don't worry about them being from the same company--just tell them silver and let them pick there own. They'll be more comfortable that way.

    My bridesmaid dresses were charcoal grey as well.  All my ladies wanted me to pick the shoes--I am the Imelda Marcos of the group.  However, I got married in January and I did not want to chance open toed or strappy.  Take a look at zappos.com at all the choices.  I think you can select basd on color--that's where I got my BM shoes.
