I'm getting the hang of it!!!

So yesterday at mass I did really good, especially with the "and also with your spirit."  How did everyone else do, did it get any better?

Oh and happy Monday!  I have 5 tests and 5 projects to do by next Wednesday or before so I am pretty stressed out, and any extra prayers would be much appreciated! :o)  I hope everyone else has a great week!

LOL I think I missed about 2 or 3! And everytime I got one right I half had to stop myself from high fiving my fiance...

Eh, I did better. But of course I had the cheat sheet in front of me the whole time. I definitely think it is one of the hardest parts to remember since it almost comes naturally as a response.

If I didn't have a Missalette in front of me, I would forget, lol.

I was thoroughly amused yesterday at Mass when, at the Gospel, the Deacon said "Peace be with you" and the loudest response was the priest (who had a mic) who loudly exclaimed "and also with you," which probably confused everyone a tad.

One thing to remember: The wedding is just one day. The marriage is all the rest of them.

My SIL's wedding was Saturday - and the responses didn't go that well there.  We'll all eventually catch on.

The only one I missed yesterday was the one before the Gospel. That one was so bad the priest made a joke about it at the beginning of the homily. I'm thoroughly convinced that the cards are making it harder for me to remember things, because I don't have to.

Otherwise, I hope and pray all the tests go well, Shawna. I had a loooong day at work, so I'm ready to veg for the evening.

After total failure of "with your spirit"s last week, our priest chanted every prompt this week so the response wasn't so conditioned, and everyone did great! Somebody was using the noggin.

I did better at Saturday vigil...but that's because I had the card in front of me. Since I was contor, they asked me to be sure to lead the right responses, so I was hyper hyper vigilant about it!

I listen to the daily Mass on EWTN most mornings, so that's helping me get acclimated...

I did great the first week, this week I was terrible.  Just forgot everything.  H used the cheat sheet, and I started out following along in the missalette, but then I got cocky.

I still hate it. I had the cheat card in front of me the whole time and it just felt weird.

Since, due to my job, I have to go to Mass 4 times a weekend, I think I'm already getting the hang of it! (and, I'm trying to go to daily Mass a bit.) But other than that, yeah, I'd imagine it would take at least a couple months, even for the "and with your spirit,"s since you'll only say them a few times, and then have to wait a week before saying them again!
