Unique Favor Idea?

Hey all,

My FI and I have decided on a unique theme for our favors. We both have food related hobbies/professions.

I am a Pastry Chef and my FI has a home-brew hobby.
We live near Albany and very close to some great Pick your Own farms. So I will be making some jam (blueberry, and mixed berry) and some apple and peach butter.
My FI will brew a cherry wheat beer and an Oktoberfest beer. As our wedding is in Nov. 11, 2011 perfect for fresh picked fruit.  

What do you all think about these ideas??

    I love it!  I did a similar thing.  We made some strawberry jam as the favor and they all look so cute, just finished them up yesterday!  Have fun with it!

    I think it's a great idea.  I'm doing a similar thing, FSIL and I are making apple butter and using the jar lid as the escort cards.  At the table I'll have a small box with scones in them. 

    I have 5 different fall colors I'll be using and I'll be adding some raffia to it as well

    I'd love to see pictures of your favors when you get them finished.  I had a lot of fun coming up with this, I hope you do as well.   Great Idea!  :)

    OMG - my FI would die to do that-- he does home brewing as well and just made his first IPA. Cherry Wheat is the perfect fall flavor!

    Love the idea!  We wanted to do apple cider from a local farm but it got to be too much.

    I think this is great...especially for your fall wedding!

    Great idea! DH and I are really into craft brews so to get a home brew at a wedding would be awesome! The jam sounds so good!

    What fabulous ideas!  I love favors that are made to be used - our favors are heart shaped birdseed, we're hoping people will put them to good use in the winter!
