Affordable caterer?

My wedding is just four months away (March) and we're looking for a caterer that we can afford but still have awesome food.  We want a cocktail style reception to keep the guests mingling and just a beer and wine bar.  So far, we've tasted Levan's and while we love their food, the price was a bit steep at $32 per person...we're on a budget!  Any ideas?

    I heard Cuisiners is really good for cocktail receptions, and I think they charge less than that.

    Not sure if it's too late to help, but I'm using Levan's catering.  Originally they were going to charge us $32 per person for a cocktail style menu (two chef attended stations, mashed potato bar, cold station, and 4 butlered items), and bar service for beer and wine and we have 75 guests.  I told him that was too high for us and what we ended up negotiating was all that plus a chocolate fountain and a dessert bar for $3000 total.  I think it helped that I offered cash in full, up front.
