Can someone recommend me a photographer. My budget is $3,000 - 3,500 and i want all the images, a second photographer and a trash the dress session. thank you.
Alexis Stein Photography - I LOVE them! I'm a total snot with photography, and had a really hard time finding someone in my budget (same as yours) who would deliver.
What I found is two excellent photographers (Alexis and her husband - as of this past weekend, yay for them! - Keith). So it's not just a "second shooter", but two owners of the company who are both incredibly talented. They both had careers in photography before opening this business, Alexis as a second photographer for a well-regarded wedding photographer out in California and Keith in media and music events (so he's really good at capturing a moment without having to pose it). Alexis was trained at RISD, which means she's pretty excellent at the artistic side of photography - depth, balance, focus, composition (art words that I tend to be a snot about).
You get both of them, and they give you all the images even without a watermark of any sort and complete rights to print.
They include an engagement session in their package, but I'm sure they'd be willing to switch it to trash the dress. They're really excited to shoot more of those.
Claudia and her husband Jorge at Fabuluxe Photos. Her package is right around 3,000 and it includes a life style shoot (boudoir or engagement pics) and a photo booth if you want one. You also get all rights to your photos and a hi-res, hi-def disk of them.
She is young and her style is really fresh. Plus she is so nice and very easy to work with. She's willing to go the extra mile to give you what you want, she traveled to NYC for our engagement pics and was there before us scouting the best places for pics. She is awesome. Check her out
Try Keith Claytor from Time Frozen. His packages are $3k and include a second phtographer for you (they will be there all day) plus a minimum of 700 retouched images etc. We had our E pics with them and his work is awesome. He works with his wife and together they capture amazing images. We actually booked another e pic session with them for November since we had so much fun and want to make an album for ourselves while we are still young and hott (FI's words not mine). Either way very professional and very fun couple http://timefrozen.com/

I just used Honeysuckle Photography for my engagement shoot and Amber was great, very accomodating and comfortable. She is right around your price range too.
Tim from TAB Photographic! He could most likely bring in a second shooter (although it's usually just him) and would be within your budget. Our e-pics were included, but you could probably do a trash-the dress instead. He's pretty flexible--and he's a great, creative guy. Check him out!!

Ditto HK Photography!!!! They did our engagement session and wedding. Wonderful people to work with and a great photojournalistic artistic style.
