Re: WTB Tiffany blue and chocolate brown wedding items

  • If you are going for a vintage look there are people w/ mason jars in aqua all over the net at a reasonable price.  (Weddingbee/The Knot classifieds)
  • I am using those colors as well.  I have pictures of things in my bio.
  • LOL ... Those are my colors too! I'm still in the process of putting my stuff together. We're getting married in September. But it's essentially a backyard BBQ vibe with live goldfish and bettas for the centerpieces in tall vases. Kinda sounds weird when I type it out like that though ... LOL Smile
  • Your backyard bbq sounds cute. Have you found anywhere to get plastic tiffany color plates?

  • Not yet but I haven't started looking either. My big hurdle is trying to get my invitations done at this point! LOL

I'd love to find some tiffany blue plates with brown polka dots or something like that. (Anyone know of something like that??) That's the next hurdle. I just feel lucky that I found the blue and brown polka dots elastic for my ring bearer's suspenders that I'm making!
  • so you are making your own invites? i still have awhile before i need to work on that but do you have any ideas for what to do? polka dot suspenders how cute I need to find a tiffany blue vest for my son who is our ring bearer.
  • No clue on the invites. On one hand, I want to do a photo invite. On the other a cut out with two fishes using brown and blue paper. I just want something simple. How about you? Any ideas?
  • are you getting tiffany or chocolate linens at all?
  • I used The Knot's email save the dates. I couldn't see spending a couple hundred bucks to tell people the real invitation is coming in a few months. But I kind of regret it. Half the people on my list didn't get one so I've been playing catch up with them. Frustrating!!! I have seen some awesome STDs though. I now wish we had!

My favorite was this photo of a couple kissing (completely ignoring the camera) and the guy had a "Save Our Date" sign written on a piece of chalkboard that he was hanging onto! I love the photo ones though. I think they are cool and people know exactly what it is when they look at their fridge and see it tacked on there.

I like your ceiling idea. Our theme has made it a little hard so figuring out how to decorate the shelter we're using in the park has been a challenge. We're using our white Christmas lights and I'm sewing tulle sleeves to cover them up. Then we're stringing them around the shelter. We're also ordering paper lanterns (LED kind) in blue and brown to put in the center and corners. I'm leaving it at that. The location is gorgeous and right along the river here and will be full of fall color so I don't want to compete too much!
  • sounds like a beautiful place! The idea with the lanterns will be nice along with the lights. I seen the e-mail save the dates on here but half of the people dont have e-mails or have them and i dont know them. I think i will just end up making my own so i don't have to spend tons of money on them but it will be a better way to get the  e=pics out and let everyone know the date. I think i have figured out what we are going to do about the plates and silverware. In the oriental trading book they have square chocolate brown plates so we are going to use them and then get tiffany blue(or something close) silverware with the chocolate napkin and wrap the silverware with the napkin and tiffany blue ribbon. what do you think?
  • That sounds nice for the plates! I like that idea. If you can't find the blue silverware, go with white. You can use blue napkins instead and tie it with the brown ribbon instead!

We're just using paper plates and plastic cutlery. Nothing too fancy!! :)
  • I'm having a pink & brown wedding 10/16/10; I will have 24 Mason Jars, ribbon, linens, candles, decorations, etc for sale. I'll KIT.
